Added
- "Open URL from clipboard" is now available in the Command Palette.
- Background shell tasks now continuously show their latest output in the task detail view for local sessions.
- You can now choose a branch to check out when starting a session in the current checkout of a WSL environment.
Changed
- In My work, pull request checks now appear right after the item number at every list width, and the Sessions column is hidden by default in the Pull requests and Issues tables (still available from the Columns menu).
- Manage marketplaces now lives at the bottom of the Add menu in Customize, and Plugins search results can be filtered by marketplace.
- Opening a pull request or issue link no longer requires cloning its repository; cloning is only requested when you start a new session.
- Pull request hover cards now appear by default when you hover a pull request link or button.
- Renamed the sidebar "View as grid" action to "Open as grid" with a clearer grid icon
- Starting or resuming a session with an account that can't use Copilot now shows clear guidance with a Manage accounts action instead of a generic error
- The "From your organization" tab in Customize now shows one searchable plugin catalog with compact rows or cards, marketplace filtering, and publisher artwork.
- Voice dictation now explains when the transcription model catalog can't be reached and points managed-device users to their IT or security team.
Fixed
- Accepting repository hooks, extensions, or configuration now applies them in the same conversation once running work finishes, keeping its history, instead of requiring a new conversation.
- Archiving a child Agent whose pull request has merged now removes it from the coordinator Overview instead of leaving it listed as Done.
- Creating new files and folders from the Files panel now works in cloud sessions instead of failing with an I/O error
- Customize no longer fails to list plugins and marketplaces when the Copilot CLI is slow to start, and no longer shows the Agency plugin when Agency mode is on.
- Decision prompts no longer replace the message composer or steal focus while you are typing; they appear after 1.5 seconds without typing.
- Deleting a file or folder from the Files panel in a cloud session now removes it from the remote workspace instead of failing with an error.
- Deleting a session that was interrupted part-way no longer times out repeatedly and reappears in the sidebar
- Diffs now show deleted lines starting with "-- " and added lines starting with "++ " instead of dropping them, which also corrects line numbers and change counts.
- Dragging Settings to the top-left of a macOS window no longer places its content behind the window's traffic-light buttons.
- Fixed large conversation scroll jumps when opening sessions and when new output arrives above queued messages, and dismissing a queued message now eases the scroll position instead of jumping.
- Fixed queued prompts briefly disappearing from the conversation before reappearing when the agent started processing them.
- Fixed session creation failing on Windows with an access denied error when the app runs inside another process job, such as in some managed or sandboxed environments
- Fixed staging review comments on pull requests opened from forks, which previously failed with "Failed to resolve PR head".
- Fixed the agent progress count and list in coordinator conversations so they include all running nested agents instead of undercounting them
- Fixed the app failing to start after an update for existing databases that contain workflow, activity, or checkout history whose parent records were already missing.
- Fixed the Changes view sometimes loading blank when an untracked file was deleted or rewritten while changes were loading.
- Image attachments in sent messages no longer shift the message text when the thumbnail finishes loading
- Image uploads in comment and description editors no longer jump the scroll position or reset your cursor when an upload finishes
- Improved text contrast in the merge queue banner so the queue status is easier to read
- Installing featured plugins such as WorkIQ or the Azure DevOps canvas no longer fails with a "Marketplace not found" error for new users
- MCP sign-in warnings in conversations now offer a Sign in link, and Open MCP settings opens your installed MCP servers
- Opening an installed plugin's details no longer briefly shows a "Checking installed plugins" banner while the plugin list refreshes.
- Opening the Files panel while a cloud session is resuming now shows a loading state instead of an error, and files load automatically once the environment is ready
- Pressing Enter in prompt history search with no matching prompts now sends what you typed instead of doing nothing
- Questions that can no longer be answered after the app restarts are now restored with an explanation, so you can choose again to send a follow-up or skip instead of getting stuck with disabled choices.
- Renaming a session no longer loses keyboard focus after saving or canceling, and the rename field now has an accessible name for screen readers.
- Restored creating cloud automations, including repository-event triggers and cloud schedules that run while your computer is off.
- Selecting a subfolder of a repository now starts sessions in that subfolder instead of the repository root, so package-specific instructions and skills are applied.
- Sessions created from a pull request now offer Update from the base branch when the checkout matches the pull request head but is behind its base.
- Side chats now respect your session upload setting instead of being uploaded when it is turned off
- Signing in to an MCP server in Settings no longer reconnects your other MCP servers or cancels their pending sign-ins
- The "Open MCP settings" action on MCP sign-in warnings now opens Customize > Installed with all types visible, so plugins that provide the MCP server are no longer hidden.
- The coordinator's initial acknowledgement of your prompt no longer disappears once it starts working on tools or Agents.
- The Show underlines setting now covers text-only file references and the QR Code control, and adds dotted underlines to clickable file and artifact pills.
- WSL environments now recover automatically after their managed daemon exits, and the Settings Reconnect action stays available during automatic reconnect attempts.
