Before disabling any content in relation to this takedown notice, GitHub
- contacted the owners of some or all of the affected repositories to give them an opportunity to [make changes](https://docs.github.com/en/github/site-policy/dmca-takedown-policy#a-how-does-this-actually-work).
- provided information on how to [submit a DMCA Counter Notice](https://docs.github.com/en/articles/guide-to-submitting-a-dmca-counter-notice).

To learn about when and why GitHub may process some notices this way, please visit our [README](https://github.com/github/dmca/blob/master/README.md#anatomy-of-a-takedown-notice).

**Are you the copyright holder or authorized to act on the copyright owner's behalf? If you are submitting this notice on behalf of a company, please be sure to use an email address on the company's domain. If you use a personal email address for a notice submitted on behalf of a company, we may not be able to process it.**

Yes, I'm the copyright holder. I'm an individual, not a company.

**Are you submitting a revised DMCA notice after GitHub Trust & Safety requested you make changes to your original notice?**

Yes.

I also need to fix a mistake I made the first time, which I think is why you found the reported content wasn't publicly accessible. **I put the two repository URLs in the wrong fields.** I entered their repository where you asked for [private] original work, and I entered *[private] own* repository where you asked which one was infringing. On top of that, [private] had temporarily made [private] repository private to try to stop more copying, so when you went to look at the URL I gave you, there was nothing there.

[private] repository is public again, and both URLs are correct below. Their repository is public and live right now.

**Does your claim involve content on GitHub or npm.js?**

GitHub.

**Please describe the nature of your copyright ownership or authorization to act on the owner's behalf.**

[private] wrote this application [private]. Every commit in [private] repository is mine, under [private] account `rdren0` (`[private]`) and [private] name, [private]. [private] didn't write it for an employer, and [private] haven't signed [private] rights over to anyone.

**Please provide a detailed description of the original copyrighted work that has allegedly been infringed.**

It's a web app called Witches & Snitches — a character manager for a tabletop RPG. It's a React application, about 380 files, roughly 370 of them JavaScript and CSS files under `src/`. It handles character creation and character sheets, spellbook and spell-attempt tracking, inventory, potion brewing, downtime activities, admin and game-session tools, the Supabase database layer, and Discord webhook integration. It lives at https://github.com/rdren0/witchesandsnitches and runs at https://witchesandsnitches.com.

[private] license it under the **PolyForm Noncommercial License 1.0.0**. That's a source-available license, not an open source one — people can read, use, modify, and share the code for noncommercial purposes, but they have to keep [private] copyright notice with it: "Copyright (c) 2026 rdren0 ([private]". That `LICENSE` file has been in [private] repository since 2026-07-01.

On 2026-07-20, in one commit, the person who copied [private] repository deleted that `LICENSE` file, took the license line out of `package.json`, deleted [private] copyright notice from the README, and put in a line saying the project is MIT licensed instead. They never added any MIT license text — the line they wrote even links to the file they'd just deleted. And they left [private] name and [private] personal email address in the README, a few lines below it.

**If the original work referenced above is available online, please provide a URL.**

https://github.com/rdren0/witchesandsnitches

**We ask that a DMCA takedown notice list every specific file in the repository that is infringing, unless the entire contents of the repository are infringing on your copyright. Please clearly state that the entire repository is infringing, OR provide the specific files within the repository you would like removed.**

**Based on the above, I confirm that:**

The entire repository is infringing. It has 372 files. 352 of them are identical to mine, character for character. The other 20 are [private] files with edits. Not one file in it is theirs. I explain how [private] checked this in Section C.

**Identify the full repository URL that is infringing:**

https://github.com/SugaryCoffee00/witchesandsnitches-ai-helper

**Do you claim to have any technological measures in place to control access to your copyrighted content? Please see our Complaints about Anti-Circumvention Technology if you are unsure.**

No.

**If you are reporting an allegedly infringing fork, please note that each fork is a distinct repository and must be identified separately. Please read more about forks. As forks may often contain different material than in the parent repository, if you believe any of the repositories or files in the forks are infringing, please list each fork URL below:**

There are no infringing forks to report.

Their repository does currently show one fork, at [private]. **That fork is [private].** `[private]` is an organization account [private] control, and [private] forked their repository on 2026-07-22 to preserve a copy of the code and commit history in case it was deleted or altered before this was resolved. I'm flagging it so it isn't mistaken for someone else's copy. Please don't action it.

**Based on the representative number of forks I have reviewed, I believe that all or most of the forks are infringing to the same extent as the parent repository.**

Not applicable — the only fork is [private] own, as explained above.

**Is the work licensed under an open source license?**

No. PolyForm Noncommercial 1.0.0 is source-available, not open source — it doesn't allow commercial use. You asked me to explain why their repository isn't complying with [private] license and what they'd have to change, so I've written that out in Section E.

**What would be the best solution for the alleged infringement?**

Other Change.

**Describe the change.**

I'd like https://github.com/SugaryCoffee00/witchesandsnitches-ai-helper taken down.

That said, I'm not trying to punish anyone. If they put [private] license file back, take out the false MIT line, restore the license field in `package.json`, credit the original, and fix the contact section that still lists [private] name and email as the maintainer — [private] withdraw this notice. Section E spells out exactly what that would take.

**Do you have the alleged infringer's contact information? If so, please provide it.**

Only what's public on GitHub: the account `SugaryCoffee00` (`[private]`).

**I have a good faith belief that use of the copyrighted materials described above on the infringing web pages is not authorized by the copyright owner, or its agent, or the law.**

Yes.

**I have taken fair use into consideration.**

Yes. I don't think this is a close call. They copied the whole thing — 352 of 372 files identical — and republished it as a straight substitute for [private] project, with [private] license and copyright notice taken out and a false one put in. It isn't commentary, criticism, parody, or research, and nothing about it is transformative.

**I swear, under penalty of perjury, that the information in this notification is accurate and that I am the copyright owner, or am authorized to act on behalf of the owner, of an exclusive right that is allegedly infringed.**

Yes.

**I have read and understand GitHub's Guide to Submitting a DMCA Takedown Notice.**

Yes.

**So that we can get back to you, please provide either your telephone number or physical address.**

**Please type your full name for your signature.**
