gitrl-f 0.9.0

Choose a tag to compare

@li9i li9i released this 14 Oct 06:36
  • Ctrl and Shift clicks select more than one commit. The pane
    then shows one diff of only those commits, applied oldest
    first. The difftool opens this diff, or one file of it.
  • A new column after the subject shows the lines that each
    commit adds and removes. The added lines are green and the
    removed lines are red.
  • The text of the total in the diff pane now gives the two
    counts apart, for example "2 files in total (+72/-13)".
  • When gitrlf starts from a terminal, it gives the prompt back
    immediately. The --foreground option keeps the prompt until
    the window closes, as before.
  • If the difftool does not open, the window shows an error with
    the cause.
  • The side branch of the icon is now Olympic Blue.

Packages for Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04, and an AppImage.

Full Changelog: v0.8.2...v0.9.0

gitrl-f 0.8.2

Choose a tag to compare

@li9i li9i released this 09 Oct 11:52
  • A click on the commit that the details show hides the
    details. A click on a different commit selects it, and the
    details follow it.
  • On a commit that changes one file, a double-click shows the
    diff below the refs and the list, as on other commits. Enter
    continues to fill the window with the diff.
  • When the details close, the selected row stays lit.
  • A new search in the find bar of the diff starts at the top of
    the pane. It goes to the first match at or below that point,
    in an open file. Before, it went to the first match of the
    commit.
  • The labels of the staged and unstaged changes start at the
    same position as the branch labels.

Packages for Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04, and an AppImage.

Full Changelog: v0.8.1...v0.8.2

gitrl-f 0.8.1

Choose a tag to compare

@li9i li9i released this 08 Oct 09:55
  • A double-click on a commit shows or hides its details and its diff,
    as Enter does. A single click only selects the commit. While the
    details show, they follow the selected commit.
  • On a commit that changes one file, a double-click fills the window
    with the diff, as Enter does.
  • The project moved to the gitrl-tools organisation on GitHub. The
    About window, the package and the AppStream data link to the new
    address.

Packages for Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04, and an AppImage.

Full Changelog: v0.8.0...v0.8.1

gitrl-f 0.8.0

Choose a tag to compare

@li9i li9i released this 08 Oct 07:50
  • The staged and unstaged changes show as grey labels at the top of
    the list, with the height of a commit row. They scroll out of view
    with the commits.
  • A row above the files of a diff shows the total of the changed lines
    and the number of files, when the diff has two files or more.
  • The item "Compare in difftool" of the file menu is "Open diff in
    difftool", as in the commit menu.
  • The icon is a commit tree in the shape of the letter f.
  • The commit menu shows long tag and branch names in full, and has no
    empty strip at the bottom.

Packages for Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04, and an AppImage.

Full Changelog: v0.7.0...v0.8.0

gitrl-f 0.7.0

Choose a tag to compare

@li9i li9i released this 07 Oct 07:30
  • A strip above the list shows the staged and the unstaged changes,
    each with its number of files. A click on a row shows its diff in
    the pane.
  • A right click on a commit, or on the staged or unstaged row, gives
    "Open diff in difftool". A right click on the header of a file gives
    "Compare in difftool". The tool cannot write the files.
  • After a Messages search, the pane marks the matches in the subject
    and the body of the commit.
  • After a Messages search, the first Ctrl+F in the pane puts the text,
    Match case and Regex of the search in the find bar of the diff.
  • When a repository opens, each group of refs that has no ticked ref
    is folded.
  • A click on Match case, Regex or Display matches only keeps the focus
    in the search field.
  • No close button floats over the diff when it fills the window.
    Escape and the back arrow close it.

Packages for Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04, and an AppImage.

Full Changelog: v0.6.0...v0.7.0

gitrl-f 0.6.0

Choose a tag to compare

@li9i li9i released this 02 Oct 18:21
  • A search shows each matching row of the list in bold, not only its
    hash.
  • The refs panel opens wide enough to show each name in full, to a
    limit of 50 characters. After you drag its edge, it keeps the width
    that you chose.
  • The search field of the list stays in place when the count changes.
  • Match case, Regex and Display matches only are push buttons, not
    check boxes.
  • In the find bar of the diff, the Enter that searches also goes to the
    first match and opens its file.

Packages for Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04, and an AppImage.

Full Changelog: v0.5.0...v0.6.0

gittree 0.4.0

Choose a tag to compare

@li9i li9i released this 08 Oct 09:24
  • The name of the program changes from gitree to gittree. The
    command is gittree, and git tree runs it too. When you install
    the package gittree, it removes the package gitree.
  • The PPA is ppa:li9i/gittree. If you added ppa:li9i/gitree,
    remove it.
  • The settings of gitree do not move to gittree. Set your
    preferences again.

Packages for Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04, and an AppImage.
