PuppyMacro 1.23.0
Changed
- The website's home page is in all 13 languages of the app, and its screenshots open at full size with a click.
- The user guide shows the AI page and no longer says the overlay is hidden over apps in exclusive fullscreen.
PuppyMacro 1.22.0
Changed
- Loops, macros and remaps follow the same rule for their keys: two can share them only when they work in different apps,
or one in an app and the other in all apps, and the one for the app in front wins, whatever its kind. A remap for an
app can now use the hotkey of a loop or macro for all apps: in that app the remap works, in the others the loop or macro.
Fixed
- A loop's or macro's hotkey could take the keys of a remap for the same apps, which then stopped working. The editors,
Import and AI apps now refuse it and name the remap, also with Specific app on and no app chosen. A global hotkey
can no longer take the keys of a remap either.
PuppyMacro 1.21.0
Changed
- In the loop, macro and remap editors, with Specific app on and no app chosen, the error now also says which item
already uses the hotkey (or the remap's keys) in all apps, since turning off Specific app would not help then.
PuppyMacro 1.20.0
Added
- Open PuppyMacro hotkey (Settings › Hotkeys, Alt + Shift + A, first of the global hotkeys): it shows PuppyMacro's
window, also from the system tray, and leaves overlay mode when it is on. After the update it gets Alt + Shift + A unless
a loop, macro or remap of yours already uses it; then it has none until you choose one. It can be cleared. - The overlay panel has Open PuppyMacro under Stop all, with its hotkey: the same as the open button at its top right.
Changed
- The overlay panel's hints are at the top, one per line: "Click to start or stop a loop or macro." and "Right-click to
enable or disable it.", with a line under them; another line separates the loops and macros from Stop all and
Open PuppyMacro. - An overlay panel with no loop or macro to list says "Add a loop or macro to see it here." and shows only Open
PuppyMacro: no hints and no Stop all (it stays while floating buttons are shown). - In Settings › Hotkeys the order is Open PuppyMacro, Overlay mode, Stop all, Record.
Fixed
- A remap for all apps can use the hotkey of a loop or macro for a specific app, as two loops or macros can: in that app
the loop or macro starts, in the other apps the remap works. Before, the remap could not be saved.
PuppyMacro 1.19.0
Changed
- Import and Export of loops, macros and remaps open in a window of their own, taller, as the editors do: PuppyMacro's
window is hidden meanwhile and comes back when you import, export or cancel. - The title bar's More options (⋯) is on the left, next to PuppyMacro's name.
- The window of a backup opened from File Explorer says Restore this backup from Settings and has
Open Settings, which opens PuppyMacro on Settings › Backup. - Loops, macros and remaps can be shown as a List, a Table or a Grid, with the buttons at the end of the search box's row; each
page keeps its choice (at first Loops and Remap a list, Macros a table). The list and the grid group the items by the
app they work in. Click an item to open its editor, or use Edit in its More options menu (⋯); the switch is now after More options. - In the list every item is on one line and as tall as the others; in every view hotkeys show as small plain keys.
- The title bar's More options (⋯) has a bigger icon and no background until the mouse is on it.
- Import and Export in the More options menus (⋯) no longer end with "…".
- Loops and macros have Duplicate in their More options menu, as remaps: a copy right under it, "Name (2)", disabled
and without a hotkey. Remaps have Move up and Move down, as loops and macros. - The filter is on the left of the search box.
- Record macro has a bigger red dot, the one of the editor's Record actions.
- PuppyMacro's window opens wider the first time (1300 × 900).
Fixed
- The title bar's More options (⋯) was a little shorter than Enter overlay mode.
- In Import, the window's close button covered the top of the dialog, and the note at the bottom was cut off.
- On the AI page, Claude Desktop installed from the Microsoft Store now shows its icon.
PuppyMacro 1.18.0
Added
- Drag a
.puppyitemsfile onto PuppyMacro's window to import it: the window shows Drop to import and the file's
name. A backup dragged there only reminds you that it opens from Settings › Backup. - A double-click on a backup (
.puppymacro) in File Explorer shows a small window that says it opens from
Settings › Backup, as it replaces all your data, instead of asking which app should open it.
Changed
- A remap whose hotkey is already taken is now imported anyway, without it: its card shows No hotkey yet and its
switch stays off until you choose one with Edit. - Import… and Export… moved into a More options menu (⋯) next to Enter overlay mode; Export's icon is now
an up arrow, the opposite of Import's. - The Import and Export windows are bigger, with more room for the list, and Import's notes are shorter and clearer.
Fixed
.puppyitemsand.puppymacrofiles now show their own icons in File Explorer: the icon files were empty.- Opening a second
.puppyitemsfile while Import was open showed both, one after the other: now the last file opened
takes the place of the one shown. - Screen readers read the rows of every list by what they show, not by an internal name: loops, macros and remaps
(in the overlay panel with their state), Recent activity and the AI activity, the History, Import and Export, a loop's
actions, the steps of an AI app's request and the connected AI apps.
PuppyMacro 1.17.0
Added
- Share loops, macros and remaps as a
.puppyitemsfile: Export at the top of the window lists them, with
search, to check the ones to save, and Export… in a card's menu saves one at once. Import, or a
double-click on the file, shows what it has and adds the checked items as new and disabled: a name already used
gets a number, a hotkey already used is left out, nothing of yours is replaced. AI apps can export and import
them too, and open these windows. .puppyitemsand.puppymacro(backup) files have their own icons in File Explorer.- PuppyMacro in 13 languages: English, Italiano, Français, Español, Deutsch, Português (Brasil), Română, Shqip,
Русский, العربية (right to left), 日本語, 한국어 and 中文(简体). Settings › General › Language: Use system
language (the default) or a language; numbers and dates follow it too. The History and the AI activity show
their texts in the language in use.
Changed
- Mouse buttons in hotkeys and remaps are named as you read them: Ctrl + Left click, Back (X1) click,
instead of LButton or XButton1. - Export saves everything by default, History, AI activity and logs too, so importing the file on another PC
gives the same PuppyMacro. Choose what to export leaves History, AI activity or logs out. Import replaces
the parts the file has and keeps the others.
Fixed
- Start with Windows stayed off in Windows after an import, a reinstall or on another PC while the setting
showed it on.
PuppyMacro 1.16.0
Added
- Setup and PuppyMacro are code-signed (Certum Open Source certificate), so Windows shows who
published them.
PuppyMacro 1.15.0
Added
- AI apps (beta, MCP ready): a new AI page connects PuppyMacro to the AI apps on your PC, Claude Desktop,
Visual Studio Code (GitHub Copilot) and Codex with one click, any other MCP app (Claude Code too) with
Copy configuration. Ask in your own words: the AI reads your loops, macros, remaps and the user guide, and makes
or changes them (only the parts that change, so even a big macro changes in seconds), saved at once and ready to try. When it needs points, an app or a key, a window in the middle of
the screen shows what it asks, why and the steps, numbered, and waits until you press Enter; while you pick, a label
next to the cursor says which point to click. It can also place a
floating button with you and open an item in its editor. Starting and testing stay yours. Off until you turn on Allow AI access,
which also chooses what the AI may do without asking (deleting asks by default). - A status bar at the bottom of the window shows the AI apps connected.
- History in the loop, macro and remap editors: the saved versions (up to 10 MB per item), who saved them (you or an AI app),
what changed, and Restore this version. - Recent activity on the AI page and the AI activity window (View all): every AI request of the last
20 MB, with filters, and Restore for what an AI app changed or deleted.
PuppyMacro 1.14.0
Added
- Loops and macros share the same action boxes: Press key, Click and Paste text in a loop, every action
in a macro's action window. A loop's bar has one button per action (Press key, Click, Paste
text). - Combinations in Press key, in loops and macros, for example Ctrl+C, with the side of each modifier.
Key down and Key up in a macro take Ctrl, Alt, Shift or Win alone too. - In a loop's Press key and Click: Hold for, Times and Pause between; in a loop's Click,
Mode (single or double) and Position (where the pointer is, or a fixed point). - Enabled in the loop, macro and remap editors.
- Detect the mouse button, next to the mouse button list of a Click or Mouse button down / up: press the
button you want. - Remaps from a combination: When I press takes Ctrl, Alt, Shift or Win with a key, for example
Alt+J → Left arrow. - Remaps of Ctrl, Alt, Shift or Win alone, left and right apart (for example Right Alt → Enter), and
Ctrl, Alt, Shift or Win alone in Send instead. - Left and right modifiers: hotkeys, remaps and Settings' hotkeys keep the side of Ctrl, Alt, Shift
and Win you pressed, so Left Ctrl+F6 and Right Ctrl+F6 can do different things. The arrow next to the
keys chooses Left, Right or Left or right for each one. - Macro editor: Expand all groups and Collapse all groups in ⋯ open or close every group at once.
Changed
- A macro action's window shows Name and Delay (before "Delay before this action"), then the
action's box with its options; its title names the action, for example "Edit click - Open inventory". - Mouse buttons in a loop are chosen in a list (Left, Right, Middle, Back, Forward) instead of by
clicking in the key field. Loops saved before keep their buttons. - The editors' titles name what they edit, for example "Edit loop - Spam".
- The cards of loops name the click and the combination they send, for example "Left click every 1 s"
instead of "LButton every 1 s". - The Test button of a macro action shows a play icon.
- Enter overlay mode and Stop all are in a taller title bar, on every page, instead of the bar at
the bottom; Stop all shows only while something runs. The title bar and the overlay panel no longer show
the version. - Settings: shorter texts; the Overlay panel switch is in its group's header; the overlay panel moves
only with Position on screen (the X, Y and Reset fields are gone) and the floating buttons card is
gone; Sound is one card with the volume. - Every slider (opacity, volume, a macro's speed) is on one line with its value, on the right of its card.
- Shorter, friendlier texts across the app; New macro is now Add macro.
- Buttons that wait for a key or a mouse button, or pick something on the screen, show a target icon;
buttons that place the overlay show a move icon. - Updates: the bar says only "Version X.Y.Z available", with Update and restart on its right (also in
Settings, next to What's new); while it downloads there is no button. The dot on Settings sits next to
its icon, as in Microsoft Store. - The loop, macro and remap editors open 240 px wider: 120 for their right column, whose lists (apps,
sounds) have more room, and 120 for the actions; a macro editor width you kept grows as much. - A remap of a key alone no longer applies when Ctrl, Alt, Shift or Win is held: a remap of J leaves
Alt+J as it is. - Every key field has the arrow next to the keys, also in Settings and in the remap editor.
- Modifier keys are named Left Ctrl, Right Alt and so on, instead of LCtrl, RAlt.
- The overlay panel's buttons are in the order move, exit, open.
Fixed
- No more empty strip under the title bar while no update is shown.
- A macro's Code view no longer accepts a mouse button in a Press key, Key down or Key up, as the
action's window already did not.
