Metis 1.0.0
Metis 1.0.0
Metis 1.0.0 is the first public release of a host-neutral, subagent-first
engineering orchestrator for long repository goals.
Highlights
- Structured discovery, research, design, planning, implementation, review,
verification, repair, curation, and completion lifecycle. - Concurrent task waves with isolated Git worktrees and controlled integration.
- Goal contracts, frozen interfaces, compiled task packets, provenance, review
gates, independent verification, and fail-closed completion checks. - Project-level
$metis:modelconfiguration without hardcoded operational
models. - Adapter previews for Codex, Claude Code, and OpenCode.
- Lightweight public ESM API through
init()andattach().
Requirements
- Node.js 22.16.0 or newer
- Git
- macOS or Linux
Verification
- The exact tagged commit passed GitHub Actions on Ubuntu and macOS with
Node.js 22.16.0. - The release package contains 187 files and passed isolated install, CLI help,
and public ESM import smoke checks. - Native Codex goal lifecycle E2E passed on the package-equivalent release
candidate. Codex remains an E2E-verified adapter preview; Claude Code and
OpenCode remain adapter previews.
No performance claim against Codex or Claude is made without comparative
benchmark evidence.
