The first release of Home Deck, a neon home screen for Android TV.
- Your apps as big glowing tiles, grouped by kind, with up to seven favorites up top
- Jump back in: the apps you opened last, newest first
- Music bar: what's playing, the artist, the track time and play/pause
- Inputs: your HDMI ports, named after what's plugged in (or whatever you want to call them)
- Jump To: hold Back for picture and sound settings, an accent color, Lite mode for slower TVs and more
- Move: hold OK on an app and slide it anywhere with the arrows
- Away screen: a dim clock that drifts so nothing burns in, also available as your TV's screen saver
- Offline by default. Weather is an opt-in extra and the only thing that ever goes online.
Install: download homedeck.apk below and follow the steps in the README. Want to see it first? Try it in your browser.
Tested on a Sharp AQUOS 4K (Android TV 11). If it acts weird on your TV, please open an issue.
Fan-made and free. App names and logos belong to their owners; Home Deck isn't affiliated with or endorsed by any of them.
