• Move Glim's canonical repository and community links to glimapp/glim, including bug reports, download badges and daily download history.
• Launch the bilingual official website at https://glimapp.github.io/ and the Glim organization profile. English and Chinese pages are independently crawlable, with canonical/hreflang links, a sitemap, social sharing metadata and software structured data.
• Update in-app download links, Sparkle feed validation, bundle configuration and signed release generation to the new repository. Keep the existing application identifier and Ed25519 signing key so installed copies retain their update trust chain. GitHub currently redirects the old repository's release URLs.

Support and installation

• macOS only, for Apple Silicon (macos-arm64) and Intel (macos-x86_64); macOS 11 or later. Office layout and media support depend on macOS; existing reader limitations still apply.
• Open the matching DMG and drag Glim into Applications. Packages are ad-hoc signed, without Developer ID signing or Apple notarization. If Gatekeeper blocks launch, verify the download source and use System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway.
• Existing updater-enabled installations can check for updates in Glim. SHA-256 checksums and signed appcasts are included. Previous public release assets are preserved.

Validation

• Local formatting, workspace Clippy with warnings denied, workspace tests and locked build passed.
• Release CI validates the updater and builds/packages both Mac architectures; signed-feed preparation verifies the archives, predecessor feeds, signatures and uploaded bytes before publication.
• No interactive application smoke test or physical Intel hardware test was performed for this release.

Changes since 0.2.5. This release adds content copying, text recognition and presentation playback, and consolidates reader controls with fixes for document layout and preview interaction.

New and improved

• Office reading: Word DOC/DOCX/RTF now use one adaptive reading preview with zoom out/in, a percentage indicator and reset. Conversion or loading failures fall back to the system layout preview. Workbooks use a single styled preview instead of separate layout/data modes. XLSM joins XLSX's disk-backed, paginated worksheet renderer and Finder file associations; macros are never executed.
• Copy and recognize: Add Copy Preview Text for Office/iWork and PDF previews. Word prefers selected text; PDFs copy selected text or the current page. Styled Excel previews copy the current row/column page as TSV from actual indexed cell values, preserving empty cells, rather than copying the range/status label. Add cancellable on-device image text recognition, supported Office/iWork embedded-image extraction and PDF current-page recognition. Spreadsheets intentionally omit the image-recognition button. Supported Macs can select image text directly with Live Text.
• Image clipboard: Add localized Copy Image and Command-C/Control-C when the image reader has focus, prioritizing selected image text. PNG/JPEG can retain their original encoding; other raster formats copy the complete decoded current page as PNG. SVG supplies both original SVG and a compatible PNG of the complete image, rendered separately without changing the visible zoom/scroll position.
• Presentation playback: Add full-screen slideshows for PDF, PPT/PPTX and Keynote. Support previous/next, arrow keys, Page Up/Down, Space/Shift-Space, Escape and content-click advance; keyboard-style presenter remotes use the same navigation. PPT/Keynote previous/next also work in ordinary preview. Playback controls update to reflect whether a slideshow is active.
• Shared reader actions: Extract format-specific ordered action sets, shared floating-toolbar presentation and centralized content context-menu routing. Word, workbooks and other native toolbar readers derive menu actions from their live controls; PDF/images retain specialized commands under the same menu policy. GPUI previews share capability-derived actions with their toolbar. Preserve source-editor editing menus and embedded web/media interactions.
• Paths: Add styled full-path hover cards for files and tabs, using a native panel that stays above native spreadsheet previews.

Fixes / hotfixes

• Fix presentation white screens/crashes caused by moving an active Quick Look view between windows. Keep playback in the original window, hide app chrome in presentation and route navigation through the provider's page controls when available.
• Fix toolbar width calculations that truncated worksheet names or stretched status labels into large gaps. Measure current text/font/icons, keep control order stable, remove filenames from reading toolbars and eliminate duplicate slideshow controls.
• Fix narrow Word previews with readable adaptive layout and zoom. Correct preview clipping: the outer panel including tabs remains rounded, while the upper content corners directly below tabs are square. Remove unnecessary Markdown top/bottom padding.
• Change ordinary PDF reading to Fit width; retain Fit page as a separate option and whole-page fitting for slideshows. Centralize localized PDF/Word reader menus and remove unwanted Services, Writing Tools and browser/search integrations from managed menus.
• Render Markdown diagrams automatically in bounded, viewport-driven batches, replacing manual diagram-page controls that left later blocks unrendered. Reuse a bounded cache, cancel inactive work and invalidate inline layout when rendered diagrams arrive.
• Ignore root-level scratch databases and SQLite sidecars; local awesome-lists.sqlite3 is excluded from source control.

Support limitations

• Word's adaptive conversion may differ from original pagination, complex layout and embedded content; system fallback fidelity depends on macOS Quick Look. XLSX/XLSM preview still omits charts/drawings and shared-string run formatting. Formulas use stored results and are not recalculated. TSV copying uses the current preview page's cached raw values, not display formatting or formulas.
• Generic Office/iWork text copying depends on text exposed by the system preview provider and can be limited to its currently exposed content. PDF text availability depends on PDFKit and the document. Embedded-image OCR supports recognized raster resources in supported modern Office/iWork packages; legacy binary Office image extraction and vector-resource OCR are not supported. OCR accuracy/languages and Live Text availability depend on macOS, hardware and image quality; direct image-text selection requires supported macOS 13+ systems.
• SVG's compatibility PNG uses the reader viewport's rendering resolution; the original SVG remains on the clipboard for vector-capable applications. Large-image decoding and diagram working-memory budgets remain in effect; this release does not claim original-resolution tiled image decoding or completion of all reader-boundary migration.
• Quick Look providers differ in navigation and exposed accessibility content; Home/End and ordinary-preview copying depend on provider support. Physical presenter hardware and the complete interactive format matrix have not been tested. Existing native Liquid Glass requirements/fallback materials remain unchanged.

Validation and installation

• Local formatting, locale-catalog and whitespace checks passed. Release CI passed formatting, release Clippy, workspace tests and native updater checks on Apple Silicon, plus optimized builds and verified packaging for Apple Silicon and Intel. Interactive smoke tests and Intel hardware testing were not performed.
• macOS Apple Silicon and Intel only. Download the matching DMG and replace Glim.app in Applications, or use the built-in updater. Packages are ad-hoc signed, without Developer ID signing or notarization; macOS may require approval in Privacy & Security. Update-feed signatures are separate from Apple notarization.

• 路径提示： 文件和顶部标签增加样式化完整路径浮窗，使用原生面板，避免被原生 Excel 预览遮挡。

修复 / hotfix

• 修复将活动 Quick Look 视图迁移到其他窗口导致的放映白屏／崩溃：改在原窗口中播放，全屏放映隐藏应用框架，并在可用时通过系统预览提供者的翻页控件导航。
• 修复工作表名截断、状态文字被拉伸造成大段空白等工具栏宽度问题：按当前文字、字体、图标测量；保持控件相对顺序，移除阅读工具栏中的文件名及重复放映控件。
• 修复 Word 预览过窄、难以阅读的问题，增加自适应排版和缩放。统一预览裁切：包含标签的外层面板保留圆角，标签下方内容区顶部两角使用直角；移除 Markdown 多余上下留白。
• PDF 普通阅读改为“适应宽度”，另保留“适应整页”，放映继续整页适应。统一 PDF／Word 阅读右键菜单及中文标题，移除受管菜单中无关的 Services、Writing Tools 和浏览器／搜索集成。
• Markdown 图表改为按可视区域自动分批渲染，移除导致后续图块留空的手动图表翻页入口；使用有界缓存，取消非活动工作，图表完成后及时失效并重算行内布局。
• 忽略仓库根目录临时数据库及 SQLite 附属文件；本地 awesome-lists.sqlite3 不纳入版本管理。

支持范围与限制

• Word 自适应转换可能与原始分页、复杂排版及嵌入内容存在差异，系统回退预览的还原程度取决于 macOS Quick Look。XLSX／XLSM 预览仍不包含图表／绘图和共享字符串分段富文本；公式使用已保存结果，不重新计算。TSV 复制当前预览页的缓存原始值，不复制显示格式或公式。

• Improve Markdown startup and scrolling with virtual block layout, visible-item measurement, fewer repeated parses and fast checks before optional table/image/diagram scans. Refresh referenced local images when their files change.
• Pre-analyze diagram dependencies and load only required offline engine modules in parallel. Reuse successful diagram images within a bounded session cache and memory-map fonts to avoid repeated reads during Chinese text rasterization.
• Improve standalone SVG rendering, image centering, fit/zoom displays and grab-to-pan behavior. Use overlay scrollbars and keep file/tab context menus independent of preview content.
• Unify common reader actions in compact bottom floating toolbars. Reveal them after a short hover over a broad transparent bottom region, hide after leaving, and suppress visibility changes during drags. Remove duplicate controls in file-byte mode.
• Avoid opening Glim recursively when it is the default application: offer other compatible applications or an application picker without changing system associations.

Support limitations

• XLSX presentation pages omit charts/drawings and shared-string run formatting; formulas use stored results and are not recalculated. Macros are not executed. Native Quick Look fidelity depends on the system provider.
• Markdown parses in the background and virtualizes blocks; a single very large block still depends on toolkit layout. Diagram caching is process-local. The cross-reader scheduler and further incremental parsing remain future work.
• Native Liquid Glass requires macOS 26 and a supporting SDK; older systems use visual-effect materials. GPUI toolbars use themed translucency. Image previews may use scaled decoding rather than tiled original-resolution decoding.

• Large/complex projections can use complete source fallbacks. Image previews can be scaled within working-memory budgets; actual-size zoom is not tiled original-resolution decoding. Native framework allocations, SQLite expressions and ZIP directory indexing remain platform/library constraints.
• HTML uses WebKit and a private local-resource scheme; backend/secure-origin/browser-extension requirements may need a development server or browser. Ordinary non-UTF-8 text remains unsupported; supported ebook legacy encodings are decoded separately.

• Render explicit Markdown pipe tables even when blank lines separate the header, separator and matching data rows. Preview normalization preserves the editable source and skips code, HTML, math and frontmatter blocks.
• Separate CSV/TSV scrolling: ordinary wheel input moves vertically, Shift-wheel moves horizontally, and the bottom horizontal scrollbar supports dragging. Reaching an edge no longer redirects scrolling to the other axis.
• Remember the last CSV/TSV table/source mode for newly opened files and across app restarts, including paged files. Refreshing an existing reader preserves its own mode.
• When opening a CSV/TSV preview, hide the previous document and show a centered loading message through file reading and table preparation, instead of leaving old content beneath a corner notification.
• Prevent multiline CSV cells from overlapping adjacent rows. Table excerpts appear on one line and are clipped within the cell; double-click opens the complete value with original line breaks.
• Update the paused reader-boundary migration document to reflect shipped work, remaining categories and known follow-up items.

Support and installation

• macOS only, with separate Apple Silicon (arm64) and Intel (x86_64) installers. Git features require Git. Existing public release assets remain intact.
• Blank-line table compatibility currently targets top-level tables with explicit outer pipes and matching column counts. Original files are not rewritten. CSV/TSV share one mode preference; already-open readers retain their own mode.

• Introduce a compact grayscale workbench with direct document tabs, centered workspace search, unified icon controls, and Glim / File / View menus. Align the macOS window buttons with the title-bar controls and leave more space before the Glim brand. Sidebar navigation contains Start and Files; Settings is available from Glim → Settings or ⌘,. Git navigation is temporarily hidden.
• Make the sidebar proportional: 20% of the window by default, double-click to reset, drag left below 120px to collapse, and drag right up to 50%. Center the Start page within the content area as the sidebar changes.

• Bound inline static-image previews to a 2,048px longest edge. Improve streaming GIF composition, use absolute playback deadlines and two bounded lookahead batches (up to three frames / 16 MiB each), release old textures and suspend hidden animations. GIF display previews are bounded to a 2,048px longest edge while compositing uses the original source resolution.

Support and limitations

• macOS 11 or later, Apple Silicon and Intel only. Ordinary UTF-8 files retain basic editing and automatic/manual saving; diffs, images and unsupported files remain read-only. Source files are not resized or rewritten by image previewing.
• Local image input remains limited to 128 MiB, static source images to 100 megapixels, and GIF compositing retains its existing 512 MiB canvas budget. Preview scaling can reduce detail at high zoom; GIF buffering is bounded per animation, not by the number of animations in a document. Remote images require network access.
• Adding an application language requires a complete matching catalog; third-party component controls retain their library's own language support. Technical diagnostics, file content, paths and application/format names are not translated.
• Real Intel hardware and complete manual UI/GIF performance smoke tests were not performed for this release; no measured smoothness or memory-peak guarantee is claimed.

• Code review completed with fixes for theme initialization, stale asynchronous file-tree selection, untranslated close tooltips, and regression fixtures.

• Markdown/HTML previews use natural content height so the last chart or image remains reachable at the bottom of a document.
• Remove Windows update/install services, platform branches, static-CRT configuration and dedicated dependencies. Remove obsolete screenshot, download-button and preview-icon assets and retired Windows scripts. Apple Silicon and Intel Macs remain the supported targets; historical published assets are retained.
• Reuse the optimized release profile and architecture caches, avoid duplicate main/tag builds, and record executable-build and DMG-packaging time in CI summaries. DMGs use compression level 6 to reduce packaging CPU time with a small size tradeoff.
