v1.79.1
[1.79.1] - 2026-08-18 — Alkaid
Theme: first follow-through on 1.79.0's per-migration transaction — a tolerant schema
operation that predates it learns to stay out of its way. Low risk: schema-internal, no
API/env/config changes.
Fixed
- Tolerant index drops no longer poison the per-migration transaction:
dropIndexnow emits
DROP INDEX IF EXISTSon PostgreSQL and SQLite.SchemaBuilder::dropIndex()has always
swallowed a failed drop, but under 1.79.0's per-migration transaction the errored statement
aborted the transaction (PostgreSQL 25P02) and failed every later statement — surfaced by
fresh-chain migrations that defensively drop-then-recreate an index.
Changed
- Release notes no longer reference the host application by name (1.79.0 intro and the 1.68.0
config-override entry now describe the consuming application generically).
Removed
- The pre-release ledger upgrade path in
ensureVersionTable()(retrofitting asource
column onto sourceless dev-era version tables): every real install's ledger was created
with the column, and there are no external framework consumers to carry the seam for.
