Releases: glyphmusic/server

v0.5.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 21 Oct 02:22

Glyph CLI / Server 0.5.0

  • Account devices: presence and playback commands between apps of the same account.
  • Live jams over WebSocket (/v1/jam/{code}/live, Durable Object JAM_ROOM), within the Cloudflare free plan.
  • Lighter jam polling and position-only updates.

No new D1 migrations (Cloudflare still requires migrations through 0014). Cloudflare deployments get the JamRoom Durable Object (SQLite class) on their next deploy. The npm tarball and native archives are attached with checksums; npm publication is a separate authenticated release step.

v0.4.1

@github-actions github-actions released this 20 Oct 16:37

Glyph CLI / Server 0.4.1

  • Restyled AI assistant (MCP) sign-in page.

No new D1 migrations (Cloudflare still requires migrations through 0014). The npm tarball and native archives are attached with checksums; npm publication is a separate authenticated release step.

v0.4.0

@github-actions github-actions released this 20 Oct 15:33

Glyph CLI / Server 0.4.0

  • Relay AI assistants (MCP) to signed-in desktop apps: /mcp with OAuth 2.1, in-app approval and glyph remote mcp on|off. Requires D1 migration 0014.
  • /v1/import/spotify also reads SoundCloud links, so the app's "Transfer music" needs no key of its own.
  • Documentation at docs.glyph.my (search, llms.txt, Markdown pages), a /changelog page and a questions section on the landing page.
  • Search YouTube through InnerTube directly and accept the app's YouTube ID hint.
  • New glyph config list|get|set|unset|path and glyph cloudflare list|set|unset|secret|domain commands.

Cloudflare requires D1 migrations through 0014. The npm tarball and native archives are attached with checksums; npm publication is a separate authenticated release step.

v0.3.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 10:50

Glyph CLI / Server 0.3.0

  • Install with npm install --global glyph-server; run glyph help.
  • Inspect glyph version all, glyph check companion and glyph check r-dlp.
  • Update individual components, or pull/recreate/verify your Docker companion with --compose-dir.
  • Self-host with glyph setup cloudflare: prebuilt Worker, migrations and your own resources. R2 is optional; Rust and a desktop checkout are not needed.
  • Source builds include the protocol snapshot and Docker builds use matching builder/runtime distributions.
  • Include streaming audio performance improvements and optional account-only API access.

Native binary replacement reports when a restart remains necessary. Docker and npm-managed processes use their deployment/package update path. Existing companions need this server release before the new management endpoints are available.

Cloudflare requires D1 migrations through 0013_audio_variant_jobs.sql. The npm tarball and native archives are attached with checksums; npm publication is a separate authenticated release step.

v0.2.6

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 03:11

Glyph Server 0.2.6

  • Serve lyrics from the companion first (POST /internal/lyrics) and fall back to the Worker's own lookup, so LRCLIB's rate limit on data-centre addresses no longer breaks lyrics.
  • Answer /v1/lyrics with "no lyrics" (404) when the upstream is rate-limited or down, instead of a 502/503; a failed lookup is retried after five minutes, a confirmed miss after an hour.
  • Answer /v1/similar with an empty list (200) when Last.fm is not configured or fails, instead of a 503/502.
  • Build against desktop protocol v0.2.4.

Cloudflare deployments require D1 migrations through 0013_audio_variant_jobs.sql.

v0.2.5

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 01:09

Glyph Server 0.2.5

  • Add persistent native r-dlp workers through GLYPH_RDLP_PATH, retaining the existing yt-dlp extraction fallback.
  • Route YouTube downloads through the same companion streaming, quality and stale-URL recovery paths as playback.
  • Honor the client youtube_only flag, allow bounded additional search variants, and reject other sources and previews in this mode.
  • Accept both legacy track bodies and resolve request bodies at the download endpoint.
  • Build against desktop protocol v0.2.4.

Cloudflare deployments require D1 migrations through 0013_audio_variant_jobs.sql.

v0.2.4

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 19 Oct 00:08

Glyph Server 0.2.4

  • Retry higher-priority full sources when a Deezer preview or a previous miss is cached; refresh outdated resolver mappings.
  • Read artists from YouTube video titles, tolerate nullable channel metadata, and continue text searches after transient ISRC lookup failures.
  • Retry empty YouTube searches instead of keeping temporary extraction failures cached.
  • Reduce Worker overhead by batching abuse-limit checks, reusing request-local account lookups and avoiding redundant cache requests.
  • Associate batched rate-limit results by their stable key.
  • Reduce repeated search-result normalization and avoid copying full audio bodies through Wasm for supported range responses.
  • Keep full-song quality warming out of the foreground streaming request CPU budget.

Cloudflare deployments require D1 migrations through 0013_audio_variant_jobs.sql.

v0.2.3

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 18 Oct 22:05

Glyph Server 0.2.3

  • The companion now resolves songs for the Worker, which keeps Worker requests within Cloudflare's CPU limit. Without a companion the Worker resolves as before. Add JAMENDO_CLIENT_ID and SOUNDCLOUD_CLIENT_ID/SOUNDCLOUD_CLIENT_SECRET to the companion's .env so it searches the same sources as the Worker.
  • Fix hung Worker requests and exceeded CPU limits under concurrent load.
  • Fix Audius playback and downloads (HTTP 502) after Audius moved audio to presigned R2 URLs.

Cloudflare deployments require D1 migrations through 0013_audio_variant_jobs.sql.

v0.2.2

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 18 Oct 20:10

Glyph Server 0.2.2

  • Run three reusable YouTube audio resolvers concurrently and start them before playback requests arrive. Duplicate requests share extraction; searches have independent capacity.

  • Forward media revision metadata for background download refresh checks.

  • Keep resolved YouTube URLs in companion memory so seeking and refilling reuse the source instead of rerunning yt-dlp.

  • Signed-in sharing copies short Glyph links for songs, artists and playlists, with rich previews and desktop deep links. Shared playlists open as a preview with an explicit Add to library action.

  • Stream YouTube audio in byte ranges immediately and find full songs through the companion, including ISRC matching.

  • Prepare audio qualities concurrently in the background, including after partial responses or client disconnects.

  • Fix Unicode cache keys that could terminate the Worker isolate.

  • Publish a single SHA256SUMS.txt checksum manifest.

Cloudflare deployments require D1 migrations through 0013_audio_variant_jobs.sql.

v0.2.0

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 18 Oct 12:39

Glyph Server 0.2.0

  • Account-aware request admission, abuse limits and bounded media work.
  • Persistent audio cache inventory, storage reservations and quality variants.
  • Updated account, admin and native companion behavior.
  • Corrected the native updater repository to glyphmusic/server.

Cloudflare deployments require D1 migrations through 0013_audio_variant_jobs.sql.
