PULL_REQUEST_PUSH_MESSAGE config option doesn't work

Adding the lines

[git]
PULL_REQUEST_PUSH_MESSAGE = false

to my app.ini file and restarting the service do not have any effect - I still see the message on my repo. The config summary page at -/admin/config does not show any indication that this configuration option has been changed.

It looks like I completely misunderstood this config option - it has to do with my Git CLI response after push rather than affect anything on the web UI. Which brings me to my next question - is it possible to disable this banner/message on the web UI? It is quite jarring

It seems there is no option to disable it at the moment.
