Bug Fixes

  • Fix retry middleware body handling for POST/PUT/PATCH requests - request bodies are now properly buffered and replayed on retry attempts
  • Preserve HTTP response on transport errors in cache and repeater middlewares (fixes http.RoundTripper contract violation)

  • Add configurable body buffering for retry middleware with RetryBufferBodies and RetryMaxBufferSize options
  • Update Go version requirement to 1.21

Notes

  • Default behavior for retry middleware remains unchanged (backward compatible)
  • Body buffering is disabled by default to preserve large file upload support
  • Bodies that can't be replayed will automatically limit retry attempts to 1
