- An accessible, tagged PDF (#59), on by default and declared PDF/UA-1:
- Each slide is a section. Headings, paragraphs, lists, tables (with header scope), links and images are tagged, with their alt text and language.
- A formula's description is its TeX source, and speaker notes are tagged annotations.
- Backgrounds, borders, page numbers, callout discs and line-number gutters are artifacts.
- veraPDF passes it on every test deck except those whose own headings skip levels (
# then ###), which only the author can fix.
- It costs about 4 % in size and nothing measurable in time. The extracted text is the same as before.
--no-pdf-tags turns it off.
- The structure comes from go-pdfkit v0.18.0/v0.19.0 and go-webengine v0.14.0.
export.Options.Fetcher (#60): a host can fetch resources for the engine, as the playground does in the browser.
