How To Obtain an API Key

The Boomtown API Key for use with microConnect is obtained from the Boomtown Relay website. The API key is provided as a public/private (key/token) keypair. Do not share your private key with 3rd parties. To obtain a Boomtown API key:

1. Log onto the Boomtown Relay website (https://relay.goboomtown.com).
2. Click "Orgs" in the left menu
3. Find your organization in the list
   
4. Double-click your org. to show the "Edit Partner" panel
5. Click "API Settings" near the bottom of the panel
   
6. Select Sandbox or Live, depending on the state of development
7. Click "Re-Generate"
8. You will be prompted to confirm that you want to regenerate the API Key. Click OK to proceed, or Cancel to abort.
   
9. Copy the access token and private-key, as provided in the pop-up dialog
