Fast, actionable teammate-offline recovery.

  • Stops peer connection and response-header attempts after ten seconds.
  • Returns privacy-safe PEER_UNREACHABLE guidance for Mac wake state, Tailscale, and the mpai host service.
  • Keeps established Claude Code and Codex prompt streams open for legitimate long-running responses.
  • Adds refused-connection, timeout, privacy, and long-stream coverage; 38 tests pass on Node 20 and 22.
