My question is that if people are wanting to bar all AI-generated code moving forward, what is needed for that to happen? How do you repair trust in people who already have had their trust broken? As far as I recall, lead contributors to the project have already made mention (and lamented) of how exhausting it is to be hit with AI-related spam and that there aren't enough people filtering it out and working through it. Who among the people wanting this change are contributing to fixing the problem? Dunno, might just be me, but I feel like FOSS has always had a problem of people complaining about things before contributing to the project itself. I don't have the experience or the know-how to do so, but I'd appreciate the open discussion about this. |

The blog announcing the new guidelines is up, the specific wording is not published yet but this establishes the outline |

The inclusion of AI-generated code in Godot 4.6 and 4.6 concerns many users. I believe establishing a clear, official policy on this is the best way to move forward.
Personally, I think the only viable option is to bar all AI-generated code moving forward.
