What did you do?

I have an app in production which uses library created with gomobile bind. Sometimes iOS crashes with runtime.raise_trampoline.abi0. There is no dependence on the user's device type and iOS version.

This issue has been reported earlier. But the thread has been closed without any proper reply #61173

What version of x/mobile are you using? Maybe this is #52299?

I just needed a clarity on this. The thread you have shared talks about mac catalyst target issue. But as in mine, the target is -target=ios . Will the fix applicable to this also?

Hi! Thank you for flagging this. We have seen this same issue on iOS where it is among the most common causes for crashes. Unfortunately, we have not yet been able to reproduce this on our end in order to resolve it. However, crash reporting does show that it's triggered while the app is backgrounded in the majority of cases. An important difference is that we are not using Go Mobile at all, relying instead on -buildmode=c-archive combined with the relevant environment variables to build for iOS.

We are happy to assist in tracking down the root cause or validate possible fixes!

Thank you for looking into this! We are using the following commands to build the different libraries. I've omitted the variations targeting the Simulator, since they're almost identical, but I'm happy to share those too if it would help! Separate frameworks are generated from the regular and Simulator archives, and finally joined in a single XCFramework.
