v0.3.8
Golutra Agent 0.3.8
This release tightens session recovery and keeps runtime diagnostics in the
explicit /debug surface.
Install or update
npm install -g @golutra/agent@0.3.8
golutra-agent --version
golutra-agentChanges
/resumeand/exportshow catalog information and timestamps without
exposing status, verification or model facts from runtime events.- Asynchronous resume results are bound to the selected thread. Stale results
are discarded after selection changes or cancellation. - Double-Esc history editing validates its original thread/session before and
after the asynchronous fork preparation. /resumeand/exportshare the same session-row projection and branch
markers. The currently attached session cannot be archived or deleted.- Export no longer performs one event-page request for every session.
Distribution and validation
The npm launcher, six platform packages, native archives and SDK metadata share
version 0.3.8. No user-data format changes are included.
Local validation passed the complete TUI, client, store and app-server test
suites, Clippy with warnings denied, formatting checks and git diff --check.
Release automation builds and validates Linux x64/arm64, macOS x64/arm64 and
Windows x64/arm64 artifacts before publishing the npm packages.
See the changelog.
v0.3.7
Golutra Agent 0.3.7
This release fixes Windows console mode initialization and restoration and
simplifies the official provider setup flow.
Install or update
npm install -g @golutra/agent@0.3.7
golutra-agent --version
golutra-agentChanges
- Windows terminal setup records the console mouse-mode baseline before cleanup.
Exiting or suspending the TUI restores cooked input after mouse cleanup so the
parent shell and external editor receive the intended console mode. - Selecting Golutra API opens API key entry immediately. Its built-in base
address ishttps://api.golutra.cn; review and saving resolve the protocol path.
Esc from the API key or environment variable screen returns to provider selection.
The official preset continues to use OpenAI Chat Completions; protocol
auto-detection is not included. - The canonical repository retains the complete development commit history.
Distribution and validation
The npm launcher, six platform packages and native desktop archives share version
0.3.7. Desktop archives and npm platform packages reuse the same native payloads.
No user-data format changes are included.
Local validation on macOS passed 41 terminal tests, 14 authentication dialog tests
and 39 packaging tests. All workspace targets compiled, and formatting and
repository metadata checks passed.
Release automation builds and runs package acceptance on Linux x64/arm64,
macOS x64/arm64 and Windows x64/arm64. It verifies npm startup, native offline
startup without Node/npm, shared-data behavior and npm/native payload parity.
The Windows package checks do not include interactive ConPTY acceptance; they
do not establish the console fix's behavior in every Windows terminal host.
See the changelog.
v0.3.6
Golutra Agent 0.3.6
This release simplifies terminal conversations, improves task completion and
streaming projection, and fixes local service connections behind HTTP proxies.
Install or update
npm install -g @golutra/agent@0.3.6
golutra-agent --version
golutra-agentTerminal and runtime improvements
- Verification records, residual risks and internal result assessments remain
available in/debugwithout adding cards to ordinary conversations. - A failed task displays one diagnostic at its original history position.
Recovered provider errors do not leave a false failure notice. - Streaming text and observational events reuse the current transcript projection;
semantic changes still rebuild it to preserve correct replay. - Tool previews remain compact, with complete saved details available via Ctrl+O.
- Startup no longer requests a background-color reply that can leak into input.
- Long-task recovery, compaction and completion evidence handling are improved.
/handoffcarries task context into a new conversation. - Repeated correction cycles without new progress stop; missing evidence is
distinguished from a check that actually failed. - Loopback provider, model catalog, OAuth and app-server requests bypass HTTP
proxies. Remote endpoints retain their normal proxy behavior.
Distribution and validation
The npm launcher, six platform packages and native desktop archives share version
0.3.6. Desktop archives and npm platform packages reuse the same native payloads.
Local auth, client, provider and TUI validation passed 1,121 tests, including 35
real macOS ARM64 PTY tests. One optional live-provider test was skipped. Formatting
and Clippy checks passed. Local fixtures do not establish real-provider behavior
or runtime acceptance on other platforms.
Before publication, release automation builds and tests Linux x64/arm64,
macOS x64/arm64 and Windows x64/arm64, including npm startup, native offline
startup without Node/npm, shared-data checks and npm/native payload parity.
See the changelog.
v0.3.5
Golutra Agent 0.3.5
This release improves terminal resizing, streaming history, code rendering and
large-paste editing while preserving native terminal text selection.
Install or update
npm install -g @golutra/agent@0.3.5
golutra-agent --version
golutra-agentTerminal improvements
- Narrow-to-wide resizing reconstructs the banner and history at the current width.
Drafts and local commands are retained; large histories load their full source
before replay. Reconstructing native scrollback clears earlier terminal scrollback,
including shell output preceding this session. - Corrected final replies replace earlier streamed content without an extra
"Updated response" copy. Removing a trailing newline alone does not rebuild history. - Complete lines of long code fences enter scrollback before the fence closes.
- Small streaming updates are coalesced, with faster refreshes under backlog.
Keyboard input, first content and completion keep their fast path. - Command previews show both the beginning and the end of output with an omitted
line count. Ctrl+O continues to open saved details. - Large pastes display compactly while the original text is preserved for submission,
editing and undo. Moving the cursor inside a paste expands it for editing. - Syntax highlighting tracks multiline strings and comments by language and reuses
parser state. Unknown languages and oversized blocks fall back to plain text. - Diff backgrounds adapt to terminal lightness and color depth. Local Markdown
links use concise workspace paths with line numbers and avoid duplicate labels.
Explicit OSC 8 hyperlinks are not included.
Distribution and validation
The npm launcher, six platform packages and native desktop archives share version
0.3.5. Native artifacts reuse the npm binary payloads. No data namespace or storage
schema change is included.
Local validation passed 503 TUI/library/driver tests, including 34 real macOS PTY
tests. One opt-in live-provider test was skipped. Clippy with warnings denied and
formatting checks passed. Release automation verifies six-platform packaging,
npm/native payload parity, offline startup and shared-data behavior before publishing.
These checks do not establish identical behavior in every terminal or against every
upstream provider.
See the changelog.
v0.3.4
Golutra Agent 0.3.4
This release fixes duplicate streaming replies in Debug mode and makes the
timeline more compact while preserving complete events and native scrollback.
Install or update
npm install -g @golutra/agent@0.3.4
golutra-agent --version
golutra-agentTerminal fixes
- Debug waits until both transcript and observation rows are stable before
archiving them. Normal streaming no longer produces false "Updated response"
notices. Genuine revisions of already archived text still remain visible. - Live height follows the actual two-column wrapping, preventing the beginning
of a reply from disappearing. A gutter separates the columns; diagnostic-only
events no longer insert blank chat rows, and summaries wrap by word/grapheme. - Esc dismisses root
/authand/loginsetup without repeated reopening.
Debug navigation and history
- Complete history reloads in the background, can be cancelled, and merges new
runtime events without replacing typed drafts. Total load caps are removed;
memory use grows with complete history size, while archived active events
remain reclaimable. Failed refreshes retain the last good snapshot. - Alt+D opens redacted event details. Use Left/Right for events, Up/Down or
PageUp/PageDown to scroll, Alt+C to copy, and Esc to return to the chat draft.
Mouse selection remains controlled by the terminal. - Tool counts and background-job states use stable identities. Archived facts
are labelled as snapshots rather than implying live counters. /debug switchstill toggles expanded summaries. All recorded events remain
accessible; long open streaming blocks show their live tail and are archived
in full once stable.
Distribution and validation
The npm launcher and six native platform packages share version 0.3.4. Windows,
macOS and Linux x64/ARM64 desktop archives reuse the npm native payloads and
provide versioned URLs and checksums. Native startup needs neither Node.js nor
npm. No data namespace or storage schema change is included in this release.
Local validation passed 487 TUI/library/driver tests, including 30 real macOS
PTY tests, and 21 packaging-script tests. Clippy with warnings denied, formatting
and metadata checks passed. One opt-in live-provider test was skipped.
Coverage uses isolated
providers, including Debug before the first token, slow English/Chinese streams,
expanded/compact summaries, final-text uniqueness, resize, tables and genuine
revisions. Release jobs additionally require native launch, npm installation,
desktop offline launch, payload parity and shared-data checks on all six targets
before publication. These checks do not replace GUI desktop integration,
signing, real upstream-provider tests or every terminal/minimum OS combination.
See the changelog
and desktop integration guide.
v0.3.3
Golutra Agent 0.3.3
This release improves terminal responsiveness, streaming display and provider
setup, including model discovery that never blocks manual model entry.
Install or update
npm install -g @golutra/agent@0.3.3
golutra-agent --version
golutra-agentProvider setup
- Golutra API and Custom Provider show a blank manual model option first.
Type or paste a model ID and continue immediately. Models fetched from the
upstream service appear below the manual option and can be selected with
Up/Down and Enter. Results do not change focus or overwrite input. - Discovery supports OpenAI Chat Completions/Responses, Anthropic and Gemini
catalogs, with protocol-specific URLs and authentication. Requests have a
10-second limit; errors and empty lists leave manual entry available.
Vertex AI and rust-genai currently use manual entry. Catalogs are read as a
single response without following pagination; discovery is not a guarantee
that a model supports the chosen protocol or generation settings. - API keys default to local owner-only credential storage. Ctrl+E switches to
an existing environment-variable reference; users enter the variable name
explicitly instead of receiving an automatically generated name. - Advanced settings default to Continue. Select another setting to cycle or
edit it with the keyboard. Review and save remain local operations and do
not require a network validation request.
Terminal interaction
- Improve typing and streaming responsiveness through bounded event processing,
incremental transcript updates and cached rendering work. - Reduce redundant redraws and repeated long-history rendering while preserving
streaming content, drafts and native terminal text selection.
Distribution and validation
The npm launcher and six native platform packages share version 0.3.3. Windows,
macOS and Linux x64/ARM64 artifacts reuse the same native CLI/TUI payloads for
npm and desktop distribution. Native desktop startup does not require Node.js
or npm; release inventories provide pinned URLs and checksums.
Before the version bump, 475 provider-catalog and TUI tests passed, including
local HTTP fixtures and real PTY tests. Clippy with warnings denied and format
checks passed. One live-provider smoke test was skipped; no real account keys
were used to validate upstream model discovery. Release jobs additionally gate
publication on native execution, npm installation, payload parity and
shared-data acceptance on all six supported targets. These checks do not
replace desktop signing or testing every terminal and minimum OS version.
This release does not change the Agent data namespace or storage schema.
Desktop bundles update with the desktop application; npm manages npm installs.
See the changelog
and desktop integration guide.
v0.3.2
Golutra Agent 0.3.2
This release improves continuous task execution, connection recovery and tool
reliability while preserving the model's control over how to complete a task.
Install or update
npm install -g @golutra/agent@0.3.2
golutra-agent --version
golutra-agentContinuous execution
- Tasks have no implicit time, tool-call, cost, correction-round or no-progress
cutoff. User cancellation, explicitly configured budgets and permissions remain
effective. - Recoverable connection outages wait and continue the same logical request.
Background processes can keep running during recovery. Authentication errors,
invalid requests and HTTP failures retain separate, bounded error handling. - Provider adapters share completion and recovery handling; incomplete model
responses do not silently become successful task completion. - Compaction and resume retain original requirements, subsequent user input and
tool-call/result relationships. Recovery state is visible in the terminal.
Fewer unnecessary correction rounds
- Correction feedback includes the actual failed operation and relevant output.
Recovered failures and stale exploration no longer become permanent obligations. - Validation distinguishes source edits from verified source-derived cache
changes, and preserves valid evidence when only such caches changed. - Compound Shell commands have consistent validation semantics with or without
explicit Shell wrapping. Checks retain their directory and Shell context;
masked failures and background launches do not count as completed validation. - A patch may delete and then add the same exact path as one atomic replacement.
Existing batch validation, collision checks and file permissions are retained.
Distribution and validation
The npm launcher and six native platform packages share version 0.3.2. Windows,
macOS and Linux x64/ARM64 packages reuse the same native payloads as desktop
archives, with release inventories and checksums. Bundled desktop execution does
not require Node.js or npm; npm installations still use the npm launcher.
Regression coverage includes real processes, provider streams, connection
recovery, repeated compaction, correction and atomic patch application. The final
validation/tool suites passed 440 Rust tests and the benchmark suites passed 82
Python tests before the version bump; a real 120-second TCP connection-outage
test passed separately. Release jobs additionally require native execution,
npm installation and shared-data acceptance on each target before publication.
All 24 recent coding comparison attempts are retained, including failures and
slower samples. The final four-stage comparison passed for both engines, taking
139.09 seconds for Golutra and 192.92 seconds for Codex with the same requested
model and reasoning level. Earlier cross-domain timing was effectively tied.
These macOS/Responses, minute-scale results do not establish universal or
multi-hour superiority, or validate every live provider protocol.
This release does not change the installation/data namespace or storage schema.
Existing restrictions on obsolete data and ownership of a running session remain.
Desktop bundles update with their desktop application; npm manages npm installs.
See the changelog,
research and measurements,
and desktop integration guide.
v0.3.1
Golutra Agent 0.3.1
This patch fixes custom-provider setup and API URL handling.
Install or update
npm install -g @golutra/agent@0.3.1
golutra-agent --version
golutra-agentFixes
/authand/loginconfirmation save locally and return to chat without a
network probe. Failed saves remain visible in the setup dialog. Connectivity
is checked by actual model requests, not claimed by an unperformed probe.- Saving or switching a provider adopts its model and reasoning settings for
the current session and after restart. Reusing thecustomprofile no longer
combines a new protocol with a stale model override. - Bare hosts automatically receive
/v1for OpenAI Chat Completions, Responses
and Anthropic, or/v1betafor Gemini. For example, an Anthropic configuration
usinghttps://api.golutra.cnrequests/v1/messages, not/messages. - Recognized full operation URLs are accepted without duplicating the suffix.
Explicit API versions, proxy prefixes and ChatGPT backend paths are preserved.
Existing configuration and environment-based setup use the same rules. - Vertex AI still requires its project/location base path. Model-routed native
providers use known protocol defaults or request an explicit API base path
when a safe default cannot be determined.
Distribution and validation
The npm launcher and six native platform packages use the same version and
native payloads as desktop archives: Windows, macOS and Linux, each on x64 and
ARM64. Desktop applications can bundle native archives without Node.js or npm.
The release inventory records source revision, download URLs and checksums.
The provider, configuration and authentication regression suite passed 195
checks before the version bump, including local HTTP request-path assertions,
offline setup, persistence and restart behavior. These checks do not establish
availability of any third-party model or API key. Release jobs additionally
require native execution, npm installation and shared-data acceptance on each
target OS/architecture before publication.
This patch does not change the storage schema or installation/data namespace.
The existing restrictions on obsolete data and concurrent ownership of a live
session remain in effect. npm manages npm installations; bundled desktop
payloads update with the desktop application.
See the changelog
and desktop integration guide.
v0.3.0
Golutra Agent 0.3.0
This release separates Agent installation and data from the Golutra desktop app,
improves background work and terminal interaction, and provides native archives
for offline desktop bundling.
Install or update
npm install -g @golutra/agent@0.3.0
golutra-agent --version
golutra-agentThe root package selects the matching native package for Windows, macOS or Linux
on x64 or ARM64. Desktop applications can bundle the native archives directly;
Node.js and npm are not needed to run those archives.
Highlights
/loginopens the same provider setup as/auth./logoutclears the active
provider configuration and local credential and opens setup again; history and
other provider profiles are retained. Shell environment variables are untouched.- Custom providers can explicitly select OpenAI Responses. Model changes persist
across restarts, and reasoning levels include lowercasemaxandultra. - Tool cards show short command output and readable file changes with line
numbers, addition/deletion counts and red/green rows. Ctrl+O opens searchable
saved details, including after resume, without issuing another model request. - Native terminal selection is preserved. Long responses, history, status output
and window resizing have dedicated terminal regression coverage. - Background subagents have configurable concurrency (default 10), execution-bound
cancellation and continuation, batched waits, and corrected token accounting. - Already-expired tool deadlines are checked before preparation and execution, so
a ready write cannot run while waiting for the asynchronous timer to become ready. - Native/npm artifacts share the same binaries. The attached desktop inventory
records platform, architecture, source revision, download URLs and SHA-256 hashes.
Breaking changes and data
- Use
golutra-agentandgolutra-agent-tui. Oldgolutracommand aliases are
not installed; the desktop application's own command is not modified. - Agent configuration uses
GOLUTRA_AGENT_HOME(default~/.golutra-agent) and
GOLUTRA_AGENT_*variables. Project runtime settings use.golutra-agent. - Old homes and credentials are not copied automatically. Obsolete database or
provider formats are rejected without migration. Configure a fresh Agent home
when upgrading from an incompatible version; retain old data separately. - Matching current desktop/npm Agent builds can share configuration and history,
but cannot take over the same running session concurrently. Desktop payloads
update with the desktop; npm installations update through npm. Uninstalling
either payload does not remove shared data. - The built-in web search tool remains unavailable; external plugin/MCP tools
are supported.
Validation and artifacts
Before the version bump, the included configuration and TUI changes passed 490
tests, with one live-provider smoke test intentionally skipped. Release jobs run
on each target OS/architecture and require npm installation, native launch without
Node/npm on PATH, shared-data checks and obsolete-version rejection before
publication. Native-runner smoke tests do not replace acceptance in every user's
terminal or a signed desktop installer.
Windows 0.2.0 cannot open even an empty home because its SQLite URL handling is
broken. Windows reports therefore explicitly mark the legacy baseline unavailable:
0.3.0 native execution and shared-data tests are required, and a synthetic old-schema
fixture must be rejected without changes. A successful Windows 0.2.0 creator and
bidirectional format-boundary run could not be verified. Unix uses the real 0.2.0
binary for both directions. This release does not support running mixed versions.
See the changelog
and desktop integration guide.
