First preview: playable, but at roughly 40% of real speed.

Sideload BBKEmu.pdx.zip at https://play.date/account/sideload/ or unzip it into the Games folder of the Playdate's data disk. It comes with the A4980 system ROMs and Demonbane Chronicle v0.2 (the English translation of 伏魔记), so it works straight away; see the README to add more games.

  • Game list with Chinese titles, portrait (2x) and rotated landscape (1.5x) display, dithered LCD ghosting
  • On-screen keypad for every BBK key, battery saves, 3 save-state slots per game
  • Saves and states are compatible with the macOS BBKEmu frontend

Emulation runs at about 39 ms per frame on a Rev B Playdate against a 16.7 ms budget, so games run slower than real time. Speeding it up is the next step; the README's Performance section has details.
