Preboot uImage kernel for bubbagen

This is the preboot kernel used by bubbagen during early boot. Its only purpose is to load and run a second kernel while allowing the user easy access to its start-up parameters. The zImage kernels that may thus may booted will follow in later releases.

Two versions of the preboot kernel are available for download:

• bubba-b3-preboot-4.9.49-gentoo-r1-sda is for normal boot and should be extracted on the primary partition of the internal harddisk. On boot it will mount the primary partition of the harddisk to locate the final kernel. Should you have been able to edit the uboot environment of your Excito B3 an alternative use for this kernel is to allow the system to run on storage that is not supported by the built-in uboot. This kernel will show a purple front led while booting.
• bubba-b3-preboot-4.9.49-gentoo-r1-usb is for the maintenance boot (button on the rear pressed while connecting power) and should be extracted on a properly partitioned USB stick. On boot it will attempt to mount the primary partition on the USB drive using UUID EED5-410D (both bubbagen and gentoo-on-b3 have this UUID in their live USB releases) to locate the final kernel. This kernel will show a green front led while booting.
