Wallhaven 2nd tab is now more diverse: default purity SFW -> SFW+Sketchy (110), empty date_added searches are auto-diversified (60% random tag from 15-tag pool, 30% random/favorites/views/toplist with seed) so results are not monothematic; explicit queries/filters unchanged
Wallhaven wheel pagination is now bidirectional: wheel-down at bottom -> next page, wheel-up at top (threshold 10px) -> previous page (both debounced); fixes "scroll up nie cofa paginacji" in 2nd tab
Wallhaven infinite scroll now paginates only on mouse-wheel down; wheel-up at the bottom no longer triggers next-page and never navigates to the previous page (prev-page remains via button/keyboard only)
Default Wallhaven sorting is now Newest (date_added), matching the filter
bar's visible selection; previously the UI showed Newest while searching
the toplist silently
Toplist searches without an explicit Top Range now use a 1-year range;
narrow filters (e.g. 21:9 ultrawide) went from ~35 to ~540 results
Pagination bar shows an advisory hint when a toplist search yields fewer
than 100 total wallpapers, suggesting a different sorting
Single-binary interface: wallpicker set <path> / wallpicker current / -v / -h run headless from the same binary; bare wallpicker launches
the GUI. wallpicker-cli remains as an alias.
The Local tab now refreshes automatically after setting a wallpaper from
Wallhaven: both set paths emit 'wallpaper-downloaded' so the library
reload picks up the new file without a manual refresh
Headless CLI sharing the GUI wallpaper pipeline: wallpicker-cli set <path> / wallpicker-cli current
Fixed
Logging is now configured from the GUI entry point as well: the packaged /usr/bin/wallpicker bypasses launcher.py, so installed builds produced
no logs
Setting a wallpaper now visibly applies it on systems where an awww
daemon is already running: the daemon owns the top wallpaper layer and is
updated with the new image after the omarchy background symlink/IPC step
(previously the old image stayed on screen). A daemon is never spawned —
without one the shell renders the background.
UnboundLocalError in wallpaper-setter error paths (function-local logger
shadowing)
