Release list
Meshvy 0.10.3
No change to the app itself — this one is about what surrounds it.
-
Stapling now checks that it took. 0.10.2 never shipped:
stapler staple
reported success on the app, and two steps later the ticket was not there.
It was never reproduced, and Gatekeeper accepted the build regardless because
it can look a ticket up online — but a stapled ticket is the entire point of
stapling, since it is what lets the app open on a machine that is offline or
behind a filter. Both the staple and the ticket fetch are idempotent and cost
nothing, so it now validates after stapling and retries rather than shipping
a build that is notarised in name only. -
verify-release.shrepeats what stapler actually said instead of reporting
every failure as "no notarisation ticket". The generic message is what made
the above take an hour to pin down: it hid the difference between a ticket
that was never fetched and one that could not be checked. -
Release pages carry the changelog. They listed how to install and the
checksums, and said nothing about what had changed; the prose only ever
existed inCHANGELOG.md. The publish step now lifts the section for the
version being tagged, so the page and the repository cannot drift apart. -
scripts/release.shwas advising that the branch and the tag be pushed in
one go, which is how 0.10.0 came to fail on the release runner after CI had
reported success: the tag starts the build, the sign, the notarisation and
the publish before anything has checked the commit. It now gives the order
and the reason. -
The README no longer tells people releases are unsigned, since they are not.
The old advice survives as one line for anyone still on an earlier build —
those stay unsigned forever and will go on being refused.

Install

Signed and notarised from this release on, so it opens without the
"Apple could not verify Meshvy is free of malware" warning.macOS ties permissions to an app's signature, and this build is signed where
earlier ones were not — so if you had allowed notifications, it will ask once
more. That is the one-off cost of the change, not a bug.
Requires macOS 14 or later. Universal (Apple Silicon and Intel).

Meshvy 0.10.0
Install
Download Meshvy-0.10.0.dmg, open it, and drag Meshvy to Applications.
This build is not signed with an Apple Developer ID, so macOS refuses
the first launch with "Apple could not verify Meshvy is free of malware".
Clear the quarantine flag it was downloaded with:xattr -dr com.apple.quarantine /Applications/Meshvy.appOr open it once, let it be refused, then System Settings → Privacy &
Security → Open Anyway. Right-clicking and choosing Open no longer
works: macOS 15 removed that bypass for software that is not notarised.
The install script in the README does this step for you.
Requires macOS 14 or later. Universal (Apple Silicon and Intel).
