What's New

Defensive Attributes

Three new attributes for enforcing stricter contracts on critical code:

  • #@ascii_only — Per-file or project-wide ASCII enforcement. Non-ASCII characters (including in strings and comments) are flagged as warnings.
  • # gdlint:strict — Per-scope tighter limits (strict-file and strict-function). Override global thresholds with stricter values that fire at CRITICAL severity.
  • #@Sealed — Prevent class inheritance. Mark a class as sealed to flag any file that extends it with a CRITICAL sealed-violation.

Documentation

  • Updated README with defensive attributes section, new checks in the code quality table, and updated .gdlint.cfg example
  • Version badge updated to 3.2.0

See IGNORE_RULES.md for full syntax reference and examples.
