Describe the bug

After updating to ha-bamblab v2.2.16 I don't get any live feed from my P1S into my HA printing dashboard.
No changes were made to the dashboard or its entities.
Camera is working since I cam see the live feed in Orca-Slicer.

I boot the printer and then switch on camera after it has been preheating.
Works like a charm with the other versions of ha-bambulab.
Now I have the camera enabled bit no live view.
I use the picture entity card and the P1S.imagesensor camera.

Thanks for any hints.

To Reproduce

1. start p1s
2. enable camera in HA dashboard
3. start print
4. no live feed in the dashbaord card which has worked before

Printer is in lan-only mode on FW 1.7.xx (without any connection control madness etc.). It never left the lan mode since I got it.

Expected Behaviour

see my camera feed :)

HA told me that the camera.p1s_xxxxxxx_camera entity is not available any more.

Could be that your breaking changes might be responsible?

Check if its IP address changed. That happened to me last week and I downgraded this repo from the .16 to the .14 and issue persisted. Finally traced it down to the camera feed looking at the last IP address the printer had, but it had gotten a new one via dhcp and HA restart was still not helping it discover new IP.

It has a permanent IP.

I had the same issue and fixed it by uninstalling and reinstalling the integration in HACS and rebinding the printer.

Figured it out :)
Here is the debug log, just started the printer and let my automation run which used to switch on cam after a while.

Then I switched cam off and on by a button on the dashboard.

2025-12-05 15:40:10.425 DEBUG (MainThread) [custom_components.bambu_lab] image.p1s_kamera is DEAD. Removing it.

Either that is because I manually switched off or the problem itself maybe....

That was when I switched the cam on again. Still no live feed.

Ok this bug is due to my optimization to not reload the integration when the camera enable button is toggled. That works fine if it started enabled when the integration was first loaded. But if it wasn’t the you can’t successfully enable it later.

While I work on fixing that you can work around it by setting the camera to enabled and manually reloading the integration. Then you can toggle it off and on and it will keep working when you have it enabled.
