Stashpad Classic 0.102.27

Store-review fix: the plugin description no longer contains the word "Obsidian"
(the community store disallows it — it's redundant in the plugin directory). No
code changes; same retirement build as 0.102.26.

Stashpad Classic 0.102.26 — retirement notice

Adds an in-app heads-up that Stashpad Classic is retired and points you to
mainline Stashpad (now on the Obsidian community store), so you don't have to
find out by checking the store page.

  • A one-time startup notice with a Switch to Stashpad link. It only stops
appearing once you actually click through or choose "Don't show again" — a reflexive
dismissal just brings it back next launch, so the message doesn't get lost.
  • A slim Retired · Switch to Stashpad bar at the top of the Stashpad view, always
there while you use the plugin. Its × hides it for the session; it returns next
    launch until you've moved over.

No other changes — same frozen build. Switch here:

Stashpad Classic 0.102.25 — retired

Stashpad Classic is retired. Obsidian's insider APIs are now in the public
release, so regular Stashpad works for everyone again — you no longer need Classic.

Switch to Stashpad: it's on the Obsidian community store
(store page) — open Settings →
Community plugins → Browse
and search for Stashpad. It has everything Classic
has and more (encryption, tasks, the full mobile layout), and it's actively maintained.

This release carries no code changes — it's the same frozen 0.102.24 build, published
so the retirement notice reaches the store. Classic stays installable for anyone who
still wants it, but it won't get further updates.

Until the next insider-API mishap, anyway. See you then. 🙂

@github-actions github-actions released this 14 Jul 04:37

Stashpad Classic 0.102.24

Performance + navigation back-ports (stable-API only, no encryption).

Improved

  • Instant note creation — no flash. Creating a note used to briefly show the
filename, then re-read the body over the network before showing it (a visible
body→title→body flash on network drives / sync). New notes now paint their real
body immediately, and the follow-up recovery-field write no longer triggers a
    second flash.
  • Jump to any breadcrumb level. A new button at the start of the breadcrumb row
(always visible, even when the path is deep and the crumbs are clipped) opens a
list of every level in the path — full titles, no truncation — so you can jump
    straight to any ancestor.

Compatibility

minAppVersion stays at 1.7.0 — installs on the current stable Obsidian desktop
release and older.

⚠️ Alpha software, AI-built. Not human-audited. Keep backups.

Stashpad Classic 0.102.23

More back-ported features from mainline (all stable-API, no encryption).

New

  • Per-folder tab icons. Right-click a folder in the folder panel → Set tab
    icon…
and enter a Lucide icon id (e.g. rocket, star).
The folder's tab, switcher, and panel row show it instead of the default.
  • Copy text / Cut note in the right-click menu. Both now appear on every note's
menu, and the focused-note header opens that same menu.
  • Deep-link polish: a copy-link button on each note row (desktop); Copy Stashpad
    link
with several notes selected now copies one link per note; and a new Open
    Stashpad link
command lets you paste a deep link to jump to it (for apps that
    won't render obsidian:// as clickable).

Fixed

  • List timestamps honor your date format. The two-line timestamp in the notes
list ignored the "Date display format" setting — now it follows the dropdown
(and timezone), matching the detail panel.

Compatibility

minAppVersion stays at 1.7.0 — installs on the current stable Obsidian desktop
release and older.

⚠️ Alpha software, AI-built. Not human-audited. Keep backups.

Stashpad Classic 0.102.22

A rendering bugfix + cleanup.

Fixed

  • No more stuck "earlier version" of a note. The body-render cache is keyed by
modified-time; on a network drive or after an external/synced edit, a render could
stamp the new time onto old content and then keep showing a truncated,
attachment-less earlier version until you reloaded. Edited notes now drop that cache
entry so the view recomputes from fresh content.
  • Removed a leftover debug log that printed on every search.

Compatibility

minAppVersion stays at 1.7.0 — installs on the current stable Obsidian desktop
release and older.

⚠️ Alpha software, AI-built. Not human-audited. Keep backups.

Stashpad Classic 0.102.21

Folder-panel improvements + a review-lint fix.

New

  • Pinned notes in the folder switcher. New setting (off by default) — when on,
the folder switcher / creator also lists your pinned notes so you can jump straight
to one, not just to folders.
  • Reveal a folder's pinned notes in the panel. Each folder row in the folder
panel now shows a chevron + count when the folder has Home (top-level) list-pinned
notes; click to expand an inline list and jump to any of them.

Fixed

  • Internal: a style was set directly instead of via setCssStyles (community-review
    lint) — no visible change.

Compatibility

minAppVersion stays at 1.7.0 — installs on the current stable Obsidian desktop
release and older.

⚠️ Alpha software, AI-built. Not human-audited. Keep backups.

@github-actions github-actions released this 11 Jul 05:03

Stashpad Classic 0.102.20

Sync fix + panel/navigation improvements.

Fixed

  • Settings now sync across devices. Folder-panel pins/hides, toggles, and
keybindings weren't syncing — Classic stored its data.json in a private folder
that Obsidian Sync doesn't cover (a leftover of the removed encryption design).
Settings now live at the standard, synced path; your existing settings migrate
automatically on first launch (a .bak is kept for safety).
  • Search results return you to where you searched from. Closing a note you
opened from search now focuses the tab you searched from, instead of the tab to
its right. (The other open-in-new-tab paths already did this.)

New

  • Create a Stashpad folder from the folder panel. A folder-plus button in the
Folders heading opens a quick name prompt, creates the folder (seeded with a Home
note), and opens it — no trip to Settings.

Compatibility

minAppVersion stays at 1.7.0 — installs on the current stable Obsidian desktop
release and older.

⚠️ Alpha software, AI-built. Not human-audited. Keep backups.

Note: the first cross-device launch after this update does a one-time
last-writer-wins on settings (the migrating device's data.json wins); after that,
sync is normal.

0.102.19

@github-actions github-actions released this 11 Jul 04:52

Stashpad Classic 0.102.19

Mobile fixes back-ported from mainline Stashpad — the low-risk, self-contained ones.

Fixed (mobile)

  • First tap after typing lands on the right note. After sending a note and
dismissing the keyboard, the list's touch region could be left out of sync, so the
first tap opened a note a full screen away. The list now re-syncs its tap targets
    once the keyboard settles.
  • Focused-note header no longer clips its buttons. The action buttons (⋯ / kebab)
could have their top edge shaved off on-device; the header now renders them fully.
  • Less flicker. List and composer animations are disabled on mobile to cut the
repaint flash on re-render, scroll, and selection changes.

Not included

The larger mobile layout overhaul from mainline (bottom toolbars, nav controls in
the composer, 3-section rows, compact mode) is intentionally left out of this release:
it's a big structural change that needs on-device testing to ship safely.

Compatibility

minAppVersion stays at 1.7.0 — installs on the current stable Obsidian desktop
release and older.

⚠️ Alpha software, AI-built. Not human-audited. Keep backups.

0.102.18

Choose a tag to compare

@github-actions github-actions released this 11 Jul 04:42

Stashpad Classic 0.102.18

Feature back-port: pulls several improvements from mainline Stashpad into Classic —
all using only stable-Obsidian APIs (no insider-only APIs, no encryption).

New

  • Deep links. Copy an obsidian://stashpad?… link to any note (command Copy
    Stashpad link
, or the note's right-click menu). Click it from anywhere — another
app, a daily note, a browser — to jump straight back to that note. Links use the
note's stable id, so they survive renames.

Improved

  • Smarter search results. The note picker now ranks matches by relevance (exact
title → title prefix → phrase → tokens → body) and then by most-recently-edited,
instead of raw tree order. An empty query lists your most recent notes first.
  • Breadcrumbs show real titles. A note with no heading now shows its first body
line in the breadcrumb and tab title, instead of its filename slug.
  • Hotkeys fire more reliably. Shift+digit and (macOS) Alt/Option+letter bindings
now register correctly, and single-key symbol bindings like & (merge) work.
  • Default "Toggle task" hotkey is now G (was H); existing bindings migrate once
and any rebind you make afterward sticks.

Fixed

  • Note IDs never collide. New notes are now guaranteed a unique id at creation
(checked against every id in the vault), eliminating the small-but-real chance of
a duplicate id in large vaults.

Compatibility

minAppVersion stays at 1.7.0 — installs on the current stable Obsidian desktop
release and older.

⚠️ Alpha software, AI-built. Not human-audited. Keep backups. Please report
anything that misbehaves on stable Obsidian.
