Krelboyne Go 0.1.1 alpha: a Debian 13 (trixie) gaming OS for the original Lenovo Legion Go. This replaces 0.1.0.

What's new since 0.1.0

  • Volume control in the panel (#2). The volume plugin was installed but never added to the panel.
  • On-screen keyboard on the login and lock screen (#3). After suspend you can type your password on the touchscreen.
  • Login screen keeps its look after updates. The login settings moved to /etc/lightdm/lightdm-gtk-greeter.conf, which package upgrades leave alone.
  • Installer shows version 0.1.1.

Already on 0.1.0? Add the volume control with Panel > Add New Items > PulseAudio Plugin, and get the lock-screen keyboard with the one-line fix in #3.

Known issues

  • The boot menu appears sideways (#1); the Go's screen is portrait until Linux starts.
  • Secure Boot must be off on the Go to boot from USB or microSD.
  • Not tested yet: sleep and resume, volume and brightness buttons, rumble, rear paddles, gyro (#4).

Built from commit 48b9eb3 on 2026-10-23. Tested: live boot in a UEFI VM with Secure Boot (volume icon, lock-screen keyboard).

What's in it

  • Steam with Proton, ES-DE, and RetroArch with NES, SNES, Genesis, Game Boy, GBA and DS cores
  • Landscape at 144 Hz on the login screen and desktop, 160 DPI text, tap-to-click
  • Firefox ESR, Onboard on-screen keyboard, PipeWire sound, Wi-Fi and firmware, internet time sync
  • Xfce with the dark teal Krelboyne look and the KRELBOYNE GO artwork

Tested on the Legion Go

Works: live boot, install to the internal SSD, landscape at 144 Hz, Wi-Fi, sound, touchpad, touchscreen, the controller in Steam, ES-DE and RetroArch, Steam games through Proton.

Not tested yet: sleep and resume, volume and brightness buttons, rumble, rear paddles, gyro.

Known: the boot menu appears sideways (the Go's screen is portrait until Linux starts). Secure Boot must be off on the Go to boot from USB or microSD. The on-screen keyboard on the lock screen is fixed in the repo but not in this ISO.
