Welcome to the GUARDDOG AI Community! We are committed to fostering an open, welcoming, and inclusive environment. This Code of Conduct outlines our expectations for participant behavior and the consequences of unacceptable actions.
The purpose of this Code of Conduct is to ensure that all community members feel safe, respected, and valued. By participating in this community, you agree to uphold these standards in all interactions, whether online or offline.
- Be Respectful: Treat everyone with kindness and consideration. Acknowledge that people can have different perspectives and experiences.
- Be Inclusive: Welcome and encourage participation from people of all backgrounds, cultures, and identities.
- Be Collaborative: Share knowledge, help others, and contribute to discussions in a constructive manner.
- Be Mindful of Language: Use appropriate language and consider the impact of your words on others.
- Respect Privacy: Do not share private information about others without their explicit consent.
- Harassment and Discrimination: Any form of harassment or discrimination based on gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, ethnicity, age, religion, or nationality.
- Offensive Language or Imagery: Using or sharing content that is sexually explicit, violent, or otherwise deemed inappropriate.
- Personal Attacks: Insulting, belittling, or demeaning comments directed at an individual.
- Trolling and Disruptive Behavior: Deliberately provoking or upsetting others to evoke a negative response.
- Unwelcome Sexual Attention: Unwanted sexual remarks, advances, or gestures.
- Threats of Violence: Any threat or encouragement of physical or psychological harm.
- Stalking or Intimidation: Repeated unwanted contact or any form of intimidation.
- Be Clear and Concise: Strive to communicate effectively and stay on topic.
- Assume Positive Intent: Before reacting, consider that others may have good intentions.
- Constructive Feedback: Offer feedback in a helpful and supportive manner, focusing on the issue, not the person.
- Ask for Help: If you're unsure about something, don't hesitate to ask questions.
- Share Knowledge: Help others by sharing your expertise and insights.
- Acknowledge Contributions: Give credit where it's due and appreciate the efforts of others.
- Respectful Disagreements: It's okay to disagree, but do so respectfully and focus on reaching a mutual understanding.
- Appropriate Content: Ensure that all shared content is appropriate for a professional community.
- Avoid Sensitive Topics: Refrain from sharing content that could be considered offensive or polarizing unless it is directly relevant and handled with care.
- No Spamming or Self-Promotion: Avoid excessive promotion of your own projects or services without contributing meaningfully to the community.
If you witness or experience any behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it promptly to the GUARDDOG AI team at conduct@guarddog.ai. All reports will be handled confidentially.
When reporting an incident, please include:
- Your Contact Information: So we can reach out to you if needed.
- Date and Time: When the incident occurred.
- Location: Where the incident took place (e.g., GitHub issue, community forum).
- Description: Detailed account of the incident, including any relevant context.
- Witnesses: Names or usernames of others who may have observed the incident.
- Supporting Evidence: Links, screenshots, or any other documentation.
- Warning: A private or public warning may be issued for minor violations.
- Temporary Suspension: Temporary removal from community spaces for repeated or serious violations.
- Permanent Ban: Permanent removal from all community spaces for severe or repeated misconduct.
The GUARDDOG AI team reserves the right to take any action deemed necessary to maintain a welcoming environment.
If you believe a decision regarding enforcement was made in error, you may submit an appeal to appeals@guarddog.ai. The appeal will be reviewed by an impartial member of the team not involved in the original incident.
- Confidentiality: All reports of misconduct will be kept confidential to the extent possible.
- Respect for Privacy: Do not disclose any personal information about others without their consent.
This Code of Conduct is inspired by and adapted from various open-source community guidelines and codes of conduct. We are grateful to those communities for setting a positive example.
