Release list
v1.3.0
New
- Projects shared with you show up in the tree. The owners of projects linked to repositories you collaborate on (someone else's repositories) are listed after your organizations, marked "shared with you", with their projects inside. You no longer need to add them with "Add Owner…".
Install from the Visual Studio Marketplace, or download vscode-gh-projects-1.3.0.vsix below and use Extensions → … → Install from VSIX….
v1.2.2
Fixes
- Dragging cards and table rows with the mouse still didn't work in recent VS Code versions, which cancel native drag & drop inside extension panels. Dragging now follows the pointer, using SortableJS (MIT), instead of native drag & drop. It also works with touch and shows where the item will land.
- Board columns now take the full height of the board, and a card can be dropped anywhere in a column, including its empty space and "+ Add item". Before, it only dropped on the other cards.
Install from the Visual Studio Marketplace, or download vscode-gh-projects-1.2.2.vsix below and use Extensions → … → Install from VSIX….
v1.2.1
Fixes
- Dragging board cards and table rows with the mouse did nothing: the drag was cancelled as soon as it started. Keyboard moves and the Move menu were not affected.
- While dragging, the empty "No " drop column now appears at the end of the board instead of the start, so the columns don't shift under the pointer.
Install from the Visual Studio Marketplace, or download vscode-gh-projects-1.2.1.vsix below and use Extensions → … → Install from VSIX….
v1.2.0
Every Projects view now opens the way it does on github.com, and you can edit the project from any of them.
Views
- Table views: the view's fields in its order, with its sort and group-by. Click a header to sort; parent issue, sub-issues progress, linked pull requests, milestone and dates included.
- Roadmap views: a timeline with month and iteration headers, a today line and Month / Quarter / Year zoom. Bars come from an iteration field or start / target date fields, picked in the toolbar.
- View filters: each view shows the items its GitHub filter selects (
-status:Done,assignee:@me,sprint:@current…). "Show all items" turns it off. - Swimlanes on boards with a "Group by" field (or one picked in the toolbar).
Editing
- Drag table rows between groups, reorder cards and rows, edit table cells in place.
- Drag roadmap bars, or their ends, to change dates.
- "+ Add item" creates a draft issue with the column's, group's or lane's values.
- Number-field sums in headers; groups and lanes fold.
Install from the Visual Studio Marketplace, or download vscode-gh-projects-1.2.0.vsix below and use Extensions → … → Install from VSIX….
v1.0.1
Fix
- The Projects tree showed "Your GitHub session is missing a scope" after signing in. Listing your organizations needs the
read:orgscope, which is now requested: VS Code asks you to sign in once more after updating. If organizations still can't be read, the tree shows your own projects anyway.
Install
- VS Code Extensions view → GitHub Projects in VS Code → Install / Update
- or
code --install-extension guilletin63.vscode-gh-projects - or the
.vsixbelow (Extensions view → … → Install from VSIX…)
