Crucible for Apple TV

• A native Apple TV app for the couch and the Siri Remote, on the same engine as the iPhone app: networking, playback, statistics and every screen's rules are shared, and the Apple TV screens only render them
• Cinematic Home with a full-screen backdrop that follows focus, a hero with title, details and synopsis, then Continue Watching, Up Next, Recently Added and more; Select opens, Play/Pause plays, a long press opens the card's context menu
• One tab per movie or show library, each a poster grid with filter chips, a Recently Watched shelf, an A–Z rail, folder browsing for unindexed content and See All grids
• Movie, show and episode pages with season chips, episode rows that track watched and in-progress state, Cast & Crew and related titles
• Search with idle shelves, genre tiles, recents, and results grouped by type with scope chips and a Top Result
• Playback on the system player: Skip Intro and Skip Credits as native actions, an Up Next card with a countdown, audio and subtitle menus, resume where you left off, and progress reported to your server
• Watch History, Statistics (heatmap, patterns, binges, taste) and a Year in Review card on the You tab, plus Settings and Server & Connection
• Sign in from your phone with a short code for plex.tv/link and a QR code
• A Top Shelf extension puts Continue Watching and Up Next on the Apple TV Home screen in builds signed with the App Group
• Liquid Glass controls on tvOS 26 (Apple TV 4K 2nd generation or later); older systems and boxes get the classic look with the same layout

iPhone

The iPhone app now runs on the same shared modules as the Apple TV app, which brought these fixes:

• Signing out or switching to another server clears everything tied to the old one (statistics, the Home cache, library choices, searches and connection status), so one server's data never shows under another
• When your Plex sign-in has expired the app says so and offers Sign In Again or Sign Out
• Account names with several words show two initials
• Opening a season from folder browsing opens its show
• Surprise Me tells you when it can't find anything instead of opening an empty library
• Marking something watched from Home refreshes at once, and a mark your server refuses is reported instead of looking done
• Playback falls back to a transcode at the live playhead instead of the start, seeks made while a stream restarts are queued, and alerts no longer stack
• Library A–Z jumps and reloads stay fast in very large libraries, and the image cache keeps its disk tier when memory runs low
• Watch History stops paging when a page comes back empty, and the statistics database is rebuilt only when its file is actually corrupt

Install

• iPhone: ./scripts/install-ios.sh builds and installs over USB; INSTALL.md walks through it for macOS and Linux
• Apple TV: needs a Mac with Xcode 26 or newer and XcodeGen; the README's Apple TV section and tv/README.md cover the build and installing on a paired Apple TV
