M365 Metrics Monitor is a free, local, read-only Microsoft 365 dashboard. It runs on your own PC, serves a dashboard on localhost, and reads your tenant through app-only Microsoft Graph. Nothing leaves the machine except the read-only Graph calls — no account, no sign-up.
Get started
- Download and unzip
M365MetricsMonitor-win-x64.zipbelow. - Run
M365MetricsMonitor.exe→ the dashboard opens athttp://localhost:5137. - On first run, do the one-time app registration (Help icon has the steps) and add your tenant right in Settings — no file editing.
Highlights in this build
- Multi-tenant — add several tenants and switch from the tenant pill; each keeps its own layout and trend history.
- Trend arrows from a local daily snapshot store; a missing permission blanks only that one metric, the rest still trend.
- SharePoint storage — sites-by-template bar with used/free space and a GB/TB/PB quota, server-relative clickable site URLs, and a note when report privacy hides them.
- Secrets split into expiring ≤30d vs already expired; service health shows named advisories; workload donut uses the latest reporting day.
- Drag-to-reorder cards (mouse/touch, saved per tenant), light/dark theme (VS Code dark), sortable/filterable full lists with CSV export, and an in-app update check.
Security
App-only, read-only. Client secrets stay on your machine in a git-ignored tenants.json, are only shown back masked (with an eye toggle) when editing a tenant, and are sent nowhere but Microsoft Graph. The server binds to localhost only and rejects cross-origin requests.
Requirements
Windows x64 (self-contained — no .NET install needed). Stale-account / guest-inactivity figures need AuditLog.Read.All + Entra ID P1; everything else works on the standard read scopes listed in Help.
