Highlights since v1.0:

  • Install via npm: npx claude-carbon now works as an alternative to the curl one-liner. Thin wrapper, the distribution stays git-based.
  • Recalibrated emission factors (Jegham et al. v6, cross-validated with EcoLogits): Sonnet 39/826, Opus 78/1652, Haiku 20/413, Fable 156/3304 gCO2e/Mtok. Bands and caveats in METHODOLOGY.md.
  • EUR display (ECB reference rate) alongside USD.
  • Self-update flow: a discreet status-line notice when a new version ships, /carbon-update to update in one command, and automatic CO2 re-pricing of stored history after each update.
  • Team pointer: /carbon-report and /carbon-card now link to tokenclimate.com for the hosted team view (same methodology, no data collection in the OSS).
