Real world application analysis

This page shows how smalien performs with real-world applications.

A sample application is com.lionmobi.battery-1.6.7.apk in samples/ directory. This experiment should be done with an actual Android device, not an emulator.

Run the analysis

1. Launch Smalien, and select the application.
2. Run the analysis. Smalien shows status of the analysis and saves the results to json and csv files. Also, Smalien automatically installs the application to your Android device.

Check the results

1. Open the csv list file named <pkg_name>_csvfile.json
2. Select source or sink shown on tables at the right.

Client-side

1. Smalien outputs information operated by the application when you run it on your device.
2. Check the output shown in a pane on the right.
