POM2 v0.9.4
POM2 v0.9.4
- An Apple //c or //c+ with no disk boots again: it prints "Check Disk Drive." instead of hanging on a blank screen.
- The //c's CPU-socket Mockingboard 4c has its own setting and stays asleep until a program calls it, so a //e's slot 3 card no longer follows you into a //c; Slot Configuration's connector lists now match the real machines.
- The TransWarp accelerator works on an Apple ][, ][+ or unenhanced //e: as on the real board, the card's own 65C02 runs the program while it holds the bus.
--blank-diskcreates a diskette that has never been formatted β unmagnetised, no address fields β so a program's INIT has real work to do.- "Download missing from RetroBIOS" in the ROM Status panel can now complete the whole romset: 38 dumps instead of 18, each verified by size, CRC32 and SHA-256.
- Two more character sets in the picker: US Enhanced with the later MouseText (Return symbol and title bar), and ReActiveMicro's ReActiveText.
- Fifty defects fixed across three bug hunts, each with a test that fails without its fix: media write-back and write-protect, host folders, snapshot and rewind restores that lost state, printing, sound and the //c's Disk II after a SmartPort write.
- 3.5" drives turn at the right speed on the PAL profiles, where every revolution used to be 0.7 % too long.
POM2 v0.9.3
POM2 v0.9.3
- Fixed disk writes lost when write-protecting a modified floppy, a locked 3.5" disk missing from ProDOS, and hard-disk images now save in the background.
- Liron card boots hard disks with up to fourteen units; SmartPort cards start with eight; the ProDOS HD card has a second drive.
- Apple //c: native mouse firmware, Mockingboard 4c support, and Slot Configuration shows its real ports.
- Mockingboard, Phasor and speech fixes: correct SSI263 wiring, sample-accurate register writes, no audio-thread allocations.
- macOS: double-clicking a disk image in Finder or dropping it on the POM2 icon now boots it (it used to show "cannot open files in this format").
- No more window freezes when switching profiles or applying slot changes with FujiNet or telnet active; Windows can save write-protected images again.
- One test now covers every media write path; bug hunts #18 to #21 closed.
POM2 v0.9.2
POM2 v0.9.2
- Fixed lost disk writes when enabling write protection, plus Disk II, SmartPort and 3.5" media handling.
- Added eight-unit SmartPort support and easier volume mounting, ejection and write protection.
- Corrected CPU bus cycles, peripheral timing, speech playback and printer audio.
- Fixed double lo-res alignment, CRT scaling, paint tools and cassette WAV loading.
- Improved rewind, telnet input and Workstation Card emulation; blocked additional guest routes to host loopback.
- Removed 55 MB of development files from packages and strengthened regression tests.
POM2 v0.9.1
POM2 v0.9.1
- Disk images are writable by default; explicit protection and existing write-back preferences are preserved. Host-folder sync remains opt-in.
- Fixed DOS disk formatting and writable 3.5" boot on the //c+.
- Corrected 6502 bus cycles, memory paging and VIA timing, including DIX and OLDSKOOL issues.
- Fixed display colours, rewind restoration, CPU worker recovery and mouse tracking.
- Improved file saving, printer emulation, image import, sprite export and network handling.
- Expanded regression coverage and isolated tests from user media and settings.
Set POM2_MEDIA_WRITE_DEFAULT=protected to start all media write-protected.
POM2 v0.9.0
POM2 v0.9.0
- Added Le Chat Mauve variants, the Apple II Workstation Card, TransWarp, 4play and Echo+.
- Added the Apple //e Unenhanced PAL profile.
- Implemented firmware-driven SmartPort and 3.5" boot paths for Liron, //c and //c+.
- Browser settings and media now survive reloads.
- Added printer models, ProDOS host-folder volumes, TNFS media mounting and the
pom2_coreSDK. - Improved CRT rendering and fixed VIA timing affecting DIX and OLDSKOOL.
POM2 v0.8.5
POM2 v0.8.5
- Fixed a macOS crash when inserting disks through the control server.
- Enabled debugger read watchpoints and fixed rewind desynchronization.
- Browser demo now builds and deploys automatically from CI.
- Simplified core and UI modules, restored full macOS test coverage and added nightly concurrency checks.
- Corrected hardware capability labels and a flaky network test.
POM2 v0.8.3
POM2 v0.8.3
- Fixed parallel graphics printing, including colour output from The New Print Shop.
- Added read-only mounting of 3.5" WOZ images.
- Fixed sprite-export buffer overruns, printer margins, ProDOS filename collisions and Echo+ snapshot restoration.
- Fixed the browser crash on F10 and added a fullscreen toolbar button.
- Floppy Emu image selection now boots the disk; its SD card has a Disk Library tab.
- Expanded memory-safety, concurrency and malformed-input testing.
POM2 v0.8.2
POM2 v0.8.2
- Added ARM64 desktop, Pi400 and WASM downloads, bringing the release to seven packages.
- Added mouse capture: click the screen to grab;
Ctrl+Alt+Gor middle-click releases it. - Unified package contents and added payload checks and boot tests before publication.
- Improved disk-save durability, SmartPort handling, snapshots and media ejection.
- Fixed DLGR editor memory overruns and issues in FujiNet and printer handling.
- Updated the browser demo to Total Replay v6.1 and added stale-build detection.
POM2 v0.7
POM2 v0.7
- First tagged release, with Linux x86_64 tarball and Debian packages.
- Added desktop integration and disk-image file associations.
- Fixed installation packaging and included the full Grappler+ firmware.
