2.2.6
2.2.6
Fixed a packaging defect that could leave Site Inspector unstyled on live hosting. The 2.2.5 ZIP preserved owner-only (0600) permissions on inspector.css, causing HTTP 403 responses when the web server runs as a different user.
The release builder now assigns 0644 permissions to every packaged file and validates them. Added an isolated regression test using restricted source files. Plugin functionality and styling content are unchanged.
Validation: permissions regression, shared PHPCS, existing PHP tests, packaged PHP syntax, ZIP integrity, complete updater dependencies and source/package byte correspondence.
2.2.5
2.2.5
Updated THRG 2026 heart branding on the plugin interface and native View Details. Two gentle heartbeat cycles, then still; reduced-motion preferences and printing disable motion. Local optimized PNG/CSS assets; responsive details title.
Validation: shared PHPCS, existing PHP regressions, packaged PHP syntax and ZIP/source integrity passed. Zendogs browser review confirmed branding, native details at desktop/mobile widths, and reduced-motion support.
The Hack Repair Guy's Site Inspector 2.2.4
Site Inspector 2.2.4
- Use
[domain] [Site Inspector] Security Check: …subjects with the existing status and change counts. - Keep the subject preview aligned with outgoing mail, including subdomains and local ports from the configured home URL.
- Make the branded HTML report email full width; retain the plain-text alternative.
- Move the admin-screen version label beside the Site Inspector title.
No change to inspection logic, saved report history, recipients, masking, or send permissions.
Validation: email builder, report-history, and updater-message tests passed; shared PHPCS, changed-PHP syntax, diff whitespace and package integrity checks passed. Installed the 2.2.4 review ZIP on Zendogs. A clearly labeled sample email built with the updated template was captured in Mailpit with HTML/plain-text parts and the new domain/plugin subject tags. Desktop and 390px browser rendering had no horizontal overflow. No inspection was run and no report history was created. External inbox delivery and other email clients were not tested.
Documentation reconciled with current email controls, recipient/note/evidence limits, send throttling, bounded report history, local data writes, mail-delivery limitations, and the distinction between published 2.2.3 and local review 2.2.4.
- Show email feedback below the administrator form: Email accepted for sending: 1. Failed: 0. Acceptance does not confirm delivery. Include both counts for partial/complete failures and retain setup guidance.
The Hack Repair Guy's Site Inspector 2.2.3
Site Inspector 2.2.3
Improve manual update-check failure messages. Confirmed GitHub rate limits show a retry time in the WordPress site's timezone. Other failures suggest trying again later and clarify that inspection features continue to work. Verbose repository errors move into Technical details. Successful update results remain unchanged.
The bundled Plugin Update Checker is unchanged. This patch improves reporting only; cooldown enforcement is deferred.
Validation: shared PHPCS clean, PHP syntax checks, seven focused update-notice checks, all six existing regression scripts, and the generic failure message observed in the port 8088 WordPress browser. Package built with the complete updater dependencies.
The Hack Repair Guy's Site Inspector 2.2.2
thrg-site-inspector 2.2.2
Adds Other THRG Plugins to View Details with compact companion-plugin cards and project links. Content stays beside the native sidebar, and the dialog displays the installed version. The complete bundled updater is retained, including its readme parser dependencies.
Build with python3 scripts/build-release.py. ZIP and SHA-256 are written to dist/.
Validation: shared PHPCS, PHP syntax checks, packaged dependency loading, ZIP integrity, and Zendogs View Details output. Notices collector/hook tests and all six Site Inspector regression scripts passed.
Before publication: run the available Codex Security review on the release diff.
