- Baraa send out reminder email to give heads up mostly undergrads, expect larger teams, stress importance of prep material.
- Baraa Get from Shaun participant matching codes.
- Artem and Jenny to look at places to get shirts (10 white and 10 black)
- Emre check on wifi status
- Emre check on GSC offering Orca powers

- Proposing an extra project among the overflow of participants? Discuss.
Shirt printing
- Emailed quotes from Oddball Workshop ($13.25 for vinyl), Instant Imprints ($12.82/each, no tie-dye), Hive Printing, Artee Printing ($10.25/shirt or $5.25/print-only)
- blank apparel - ~$3 a shirt, $8 crewneck, $14-18 hoodies
T-shirt Contest
- Write a biology / bioinformatics Haiku (with lead-in time)
- Contact Pixel Daily to see if we can get a genomics keyword. Prize?
Minutes
Team planning
- check how many people can come all 3 days - give priority, confirm them
- send out emails this weekend to those who said cannot make it for every day (15-20). See if any can make most of each day (i.e. missing a couple hours for a class is fine)
- second round of emails for priority assignments
- find location for team assignment meeting for Tuesday Sept 25, 6pm
- ask for confirmations by end of day 28th, send out next round
Computing resources
- Kristen + Emre met with them
- need to know what TLs want to install, who they are, what teams (team list, each individual), amount of server space needed
- want information by end of first week of October
- Brendan will be on call support staff
T-shirt Contest
- when send out confirmation, ask for a haiku for competition
- Twitter competition - pixel dailies - contact them and see if they can do a genomics topic for that day (budget some money for a prize)
- possibility of projecting entries on day of
- brainstorm other contest ideas :)
