This release comes with some bug fixes for the account system, security updates for dependencies, a improved setup wizard and some other parts around dcts.
Also, the new address of the official dcts instance is now https://chat.dcts.community . The old url, chat.network-z.com will redirect to that one now. You may need to login again. It now also uses the docker version!
Migrating to the docker variant
Basically it comes down to the following commands. A proper video tutorial or documentation entry will follow. If you already use something like nginx or apache on your host machine, you may need to edit the docker-compose file due to port conflicts.
Note
The list of commands may not be complete, but it boils down to exporting the old database, moving some data over to the container and reimporting it.
# export existing database
mysqldump -u DBUSERNAME -p DBTABLE > dcts.sql
# copy over config and uploads and the exported database dump
docker cp /home/dcts/configs/config.json dcts:/app/configs/config.json
docker cp /home/dcts/public/uploads dcts:/app/public/
docker cp /home/dcts/public/emojis dcts:/app/public/
docker cp dcts.sql dcts:/app
# enter the docker container with bash
sudo docker exec -it dcts bash
# import the database
mariadb -u NEWDBUSERNAME -p NEWDBTABLE < dcts.sql
#restart the container
docker restart dctsWhat's Changed
- Changed the plugin system slightly so that plugin-installed dependencies are not stored in the project's package.json anymore (discord.js, ...)
- DNS Feature added to the setup wizard by @hackthedev (https://dns.dcts.community)
- Fixed a syntax error in the code for profile badges
- Fixed a bug where the setup wizard would always fail due to a caddy misconfiguration
