Multi-file Python: import local modules, cwd/argv/env run configuration, file write-back (open-folder mode), traceback jump-to-line, package manager (micropip, requirements.txt), inline matplotlib plots. Verified: mount/run/write-back logic in Node with the bundled Pyodide, plus unit tests. Not verified on a physical device. Limits: text files only, no pre-run download prompt.

v1.5.0 - Git integration

Adds Source Control: clone https repos into app storage, status badges, stage/unstage/discard, commit/amend, pull/push/fetch, branches, history, diff. Tokens are Keystore-encrypted. Limits: private clones only (not SAF folders), https only. Not verified on a physical device; APK includes JGit (+5 MB).

v1.4.1 - Python requests fix

Fix #2: requests/urllib in Python now work against real sites (native HTTP instead of CORS-blocked XHR). Not yet verified on a physical device.

v1.4.0 - Open folder

New: Open folder (menu, sidebar icon, Ctrl+Shift+O) shows the real folder tree and edits files in place with autosave; unsaved dot on tabs; Close folder returns to the scratch workspace. Not yet verified on a physical device.

v1.3.1 - Save keeps extension

Fix: Save as / Export no longer appends .txt to .py (and other) files.

v1.3.0 - Offline Python

Pyodide 0.24.1 and Tier 1 packages (typing-extensions, six, python-dateutil, pytz, pyyaml, jinja2, beautifulsoup4, regex, pydantic 1.10, tqdm, rich, requests) are now bundled; .py files run fully offline. Other packages download on first use. Stop now restarts the Python engine. Note: not yet verified on a physical device.

TextEdit for Android v1.2.0

Run Python: open a .py file and tap the play button (or Ctrl+Enter). Runs on-device in Pyodide (CPython on WebAssembly); stdin and Stop supported. First run needs internet to download the runtime.

Markdown preview: open a .md file and tap the eye icon in the top bar to toggle a GitHub-style rendered preview (tables, task lists, strikethrough, autolinks, code blocks, light/dark).
