The Tower v0.3.0

Hardware Air Traffic Control for the autonomous AI mesh.

The Tower sits above the execution layer, monitors the physical airspace,
clears compute tasks for takeoff, and ruthlessly shoots down rogue flights
before they melt a motherboard.

Added in 0.3.0

  • Prometheus /metrics endpoint — the tower now exports node telemetry,
flight state and kill-switch counters in Prometheus text format, so an
external scraper can watch the airspace without polling the dashboard.
  • Flight detail endpoint — a single flight can be fetched with its related
events, so an operator can reconstruct why a task was cleared or shot down.
  • Telemetry agent (the-tower agent) — pushes this machine's own metrics
into a running Tower, so the tower can watch the box it runs on.
  • Dockerfile and .env.example — the tower is now containerised, with every
    setting documented in one place.
  • Structured logging — one log format across the server, the agent and the
    CLI.
  • Detailed /health endpoint — reports uptime alongside the health verdict.
  • CONTRIBUTING.md — how to work on the tower.

Carried forward from 0.2.0

  • SQLite persistence and WebSocket live push.
  • Node registration, scope conflicts and priority dispatch.
  • Container registry with a heartbeat kill-switch.
  • Auth middleware, rate limiting and anomaly z-scores.
  • Demo seeder, CI workflow and a configuration example.

Install

pip install the-tower
the-tower serve --host 127.0.0.1 --port 8765

This release also ships the repository's MIT LICENSE file, which was missing
from earlier tags.
