ViraChin 0.2.2 Beta

ViraChin is an offline Persian text compatibility and transparent-title utility for macOS and Windows.

Fixed in 0.2.2

• Decimal numbers remain in logical order across Persian, Arabic-Indic, and Latin digits.
• Numeric handling recognizes the Arabic comma (،) commonly entered from Persian keyboards, as well as ASCII comma, period, Arabic decimal separator, and Arabic thousands separator.
• Regression coverage now varies digit lengths, separators, sentence positions, and surrounding punctuation.

Install safely

The current beta does not carry paid platform signing identities. macOS and Windows may display publisher-reputation warnings. Download the installer and its matching .sha256 file, verify the checksum, and follow the repository's safe installation guide. Do not disable Gatekeeper, SmartScreen, Microsoft Defender, or Smart App Control.

Important Affinity limitation

Each prepared line must fit inside the Affinity text frame without wrapping again. If Affinity moves a fragment, choose a shorter line length in ViraChin and copy again.

This patch release fixes number ordering in editable compatibility text on macOS and Windows.

Fixed

• Persian-digit decimals using an ASCII comma now remain in logical order: ۱۴۳,۷ no longer becomes ۷,۱۴۳.
• Unicode Arabic decimal and thousands separators are handled as part of the same number run, including ۱۴۳٫۷ and ۱٬۲۳۴٫۵.

The Windows package is the first public Windows beta. Affinity behavior can vary by Windows, Affinity, and font version; please report exact configurations when filing an issue.

Historical build: This beta was published under the previous FarsiFix name. The project is now ViraChin; future builds and downloads will use the new name. The attached DMG and checksum retain their original filenames so verification remains accurate.
