dygo v0.0.7
Dygo v0.0.7 repairs the install/update lifecycle and confirmed CLI, Record, Studio and background-job bugs.
- Installers verify both the candidate version and its exit status, preserve the previous executable when verification/replacement fails, reject directory destinations, and stop on POSIX cancellation.
- Long CLI operations show delayed progress on stderr. CI and redirected output use plain status messages; stdout contracts stay unchanged.
- Random Record-name collisions retry safely, and update/delete hooks read a locked current snapshot.
- Studio supports defaults-only Record creation, clearing optional typed values, and attachment uploads on saved Single Entity settings.
- CSV imports can update their Core bookkeeping, preserve PostgreSQL row/count values, and retain the current actor's permission checks for target Records. Worker database failures now use bounded handler shutdown.
- Includes the command-palette interaction and focus improvements merged in #286.
Update the CLI by rerunning the installer, then verify dygo version. In a clean generated project, use dygo upgrade --check, dygo upgrade --dry-run, dygo upgrade --yes, and dygo db migrate. Project upgrade targets the running binary's version; it does not update the global CLI.
Fixes: #287, #288, #289, #290, #292, #293, #294, #295. Installer lifecycle improvements continue under #273; discovery and uninstall commands are not part of this release.
Known audit follow-ups: interrupted import retries can duplicate target rows (#143); required attachments need a creation lifecycle (#291); system-ID and fetched-field permission predicates can reject otherwise valid updates (#296, #297); Git transport descendants and pending confirmation reads need additional cancellation handling (#298, #299). No permission bypass was demonstrated in #296 or #297.
PRs: #286, #300. Full changelog: v0.0.6...v0.0.7
Validation: 1,236 Go tests with PostgreSQL 17, go vet, focused race tests, 110 Studio tests and embedded builds passed. Native installer checks covered Linux AMD64, macOS ARM64, and Windows AMD64 (PowerShell 7 and 5.1), including actual v0.0.6-to-candidate updates. After publication, Linux AMD64 fresh installation and public v0.0.6-to-v0.0.7 CLI/project upgrade passed, including real public module resolution, runner builds, database preparation/migration, preserved test data, health and Studio assets. All published checksums and six archive source/platform metadata checks passed. Linux ARM64, macOS AMD64 and Windows ARM64 were cross-built and inspected; they were not executed natively.
