A major rationalization of the fp command surface: new write commands, a unified permission model, and a cleaner view/doctor experience. Includes a one-time schema migration that runs automatically on existing databases.

Features

  • New fp add and fp update commands for adding and editing entities directly from the CLI.
  • New fp permission command — list, set, reset, check, recalculate subcommands (replaces the old fp mcp policy subcommands).
  • Claude Code session indexing — ~/.claude sessions are parsed and ingested as chats.
  • fp view output-format flags (--csv, --json) and --project/--client filters on view, view chats, view visits (absorbs the old fp data export/template).
  • Renamed columns mcp_view/mcp_read → visibility/access, with full provenance (view --verbose shows all five access fields; *_source identifies the responsible policy; JSON ordered stored → resolved → source).
  • Dedicated server launchers — fp-mcp and fp-api console scripts.
  • Consolidated diagnostics — setup --check and fp ingest status fold into fp doctor/fp status; --rebuild-vectors/--repair-fts move under doctor.
  • Scoped vectorization — refresh/pipe ingest only vectorize new/modified listed entities.
  • vectorize promoted to a real column.
  • verify-upgrade QA tier via a qa.sh dispatcher.

Fixes

  • Existing databases no longer crash on init_db — migration for slug/status_changed_at.
  • CSV add paths no longer silently mutate existing records; bulk CSV updates stamp updated_at.
  • Folder CSV upsert resolves relative and ~/-prefixed paths.
  • fp permission check honors --verbose on --project/--client, stops over-counting non-listed projects, clearer single-file notice.
  • Fresh-install ordering fixed so access policies seed on declined/error paths.
  • Closed a DB connection leak on the _check_fts_health error path.
  • --template output excludes non-writable visibility/access columns.

Other Changes

  • Retired deprecated surfaces (fp upsert, fp data, fp ingest import, fp ingest status, bulk, dead api_cmd/mcp_cmd, redundant flags).
  • Standardized super-entity columns; promoted internal FTS/vector helpers to public API.
  • Documentation accuracy sweep aligning published docs with the v1.0.5 command surface.
  • Internal hygiene: ruff lint restoration, issue-ID removal, added test coverage.
