What's Changed

• fix: sides now applies when axis is 'both' — previously ignored in that mode (all four edges always faded). It now selects the beginning vs trailing edge of each axis: 'start' fades top + left, 'end' fades bottom + right, 'both' (default) fades all four. Default behavior is unchanged.
