Lighting for the Clevetura CLVX keyboard.
macOS — a menu bar app, a theme builder that shows a scheme running before
it sends it, a gallery you can save to, and settings. Apple silicon and Intel,
macOS 26 or later.
Signed with a HARTLE.TECH Developer ID but not notarised, so the first
launch needs right-click → Open. Gatekeeper will otherwise refuse it.
Linux — no prebuilt binary in this release. The core is Rust with zero
crates, so cargo build --release from a clean checkout gives you the CLI, the
TUI and the status-bar picker.
What is in it
- Four zones — the keys, the touch surface and the two strips along the
function row — each with its own effect, colours, speed and direction. - The preview runs at the speed the keyboard runs at and in the direction the
keyboard runs it, drawn the way a backlit key actually looks: opaque plastic
with the light coming through the legend. - Themes you save are files. Rename them, remove them, send them to somebody.
- Match the desktop wallpaper, including the video ones.
- Copy a scheme between the cable and the three Bluetooth channels.
- Reads the keyboard back and compares, so a write that did not land says so.
The protocol is documented in docs/PROTOCOL.md — the framing, the
protobuf fields, and the unit conversions that are not obvious.
