First public prerelease of WP Shortcode Audit, an independent open-source tool by Nakaryu GmbH.

Included

  • Read-only structural checks for WPBakery shortcode content: missing closing tags, crossed nesting, and malformed syntax.
  • WordPress admin scanner, JSON reports, standalone PHP CLI, and WP-CLI commands.
  • Synthetic examples, English documentation, and a German guide.

Install

Download wp-shortcode-audit-0.1.0.zip from Assets, then upload and activate it in WordPress under Plugins → Add New Plugin → Upload Plugin. Open Tools → Shortcode Audit. The installable ZIP is attached by the release workflow.

Validation and scope

32 fixtures and 156 parser assertions passed locally. The GitHub PHP 7.4/8.1/8.3/8.5 matrix passed. Additional checks used an isolated WordPress 7.1.3 installation and confirmed that scans did not write to the database or alter saved content.

This is an early syntax-checking release. Active WPBakery/addon/theme compatibility and browser visual QA remain unverified. Passing a scan does not certify page rendering or security. Review findings before changing content.

Licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later. No commercial plugin code or customer content is included.
