HeadsUp is a local-first, privacy-respecting Android application built to map collective digital distraction and help us return to the immediate physical world.

• 🤫 Screenless Logging (No-Look Gesture): Intercept physical Volume Up/Down key presses in your pocket to log screen distraction. A subtle haptic tick confirms the log, acting as a prompt to breathe and re-center.
• 🗺️ Ambient Mapping (Geohash Grid): Renders a dark-themed map clustering observations inside 5km Geohash-5 zones using concentric brass-colored glows to protect user privacy.
• 🔋 Local-First Cache: Saves logs offline inside a Room SQLite database with a 3-second rate-limiter to ensure logs are conscious and deliberate.
• 📊 Serverless Sheets Sync: Dynamically synchronizes tap logs in real-time with a personal Google Sheet via a lightweight Apps Script Web App.

📲 How to Install & Configure

1. Download HeadsUp-release.apk from the assets below.
2. Tap the file on your device and allow installation from unknown sources if prompted.
3. Open the app, navigate to settings, and link your Google Sheet URL (see BACKEND_SETUP.md for steps).
