Release Notes

Added

  • Windows support. Native PowerShell tool that shares the bash execution
    core, a named-pipe event transport, a Git Bash/WSL bash resolver, and a
PowerShell-default system prompt on Windows (bash when running under WSL).
Unix-only subsystems (jemalloc, the file watcher, MXC, signal-hook) are gated
off cleanly so the port builds and runs natively.
  • xAI Grok 4.6. grok-4.6 added to the model catalog.
  • OpenAI Zero Data Retention. store: false is now asserted explicitly on
the chat/completions path (parity with the Codex Responses path), gated to
api.openai.com so OpenAI-compatible providers that strict-validate the body
are unaffected. All OpenAI requests remain stateless (no previous_response_id).
  • SYNAPS_NO_BOOT_FX=1 environment variable to skip the boot animation and
freeze the idle logo gradient redraw.

Fixed

  • Surface an actionable message for the Anthropic Consumer Terms 400 error.
  • Terminal restore performs a full teardown/restore and resets both ratatui
buffers (fixes garbled state after exit).
  • TUI: drop key-Release events that caused Windows/kitty double-keypresses in
    modal panes.
  • Dropped the phantom grok-4.6-latest alias (xAI never published it).

Security

  • Reject a raw --machine-token flag — #207 CRIT-1.
  • Default-deny host credentials in extension secret_env — #207 MED-2.
