ConLog 1.0.0
First release of ConLog — a macOS Console log viewer with an easy UI.
Install
Download ConLog-1.0.0-arm64.dmg below (Apple Silicon), open it, and drag ConLog to Applications.
This build is ad-hoc signed but not notarized — ConLog has no Apple Developer ID — so macOS will block it on first launch. To allow it:
- Try to open ConLog. macOS will refuse.
- Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security, scroll to Security, and click Open Anyway.
- Launch again and confirm. You only do this once.
Right-click → Open no longer works; Apple removed that shortcut in macOS 15.
Prefer no bypass at all? Build from source — a self-compiled app is never quarantined.
What's in it
- Metrics dashboard with error/fault rates, timelines, and noisy-process breakdowns
- Log Explorer: virtualized grid handling 15k+ rows, regex search, per-column filters, saved presets, bookmarks
- Live Stream of errors and faults with fault alerts
- Process inspector with live CPU/RAM sparklines, process tree, and errors grouped by pattern
- Diagnostics mapping common macOS errors to plain-English next steps
- CSV/JSON/PNG export
- Light and dark themes
Privacy
ConLog makes no network requests at all. Fonts are bundled, the CSP permits no remote origins, and no log data ever leaves your machine.
Requires macOS on Apple Silicon.
