Hi @zenzedoon, do you have anywhere else in your configuration a try or a can function call that might now contain an invalid reference to the old mongodbatlas_cluster cluster that would need to be updated? Invalid references embedded in try and can function calls were the source of the crashes seen in the issue James linked.

I've encountered the same error with a slightly different situation. I already had a mongodbatlas_advanced_cluster resource, and I've upgraded the provider to version 2.x (after updating the syntax according to the upgrad guide), no moved block or try or can functions involved, and then I started getting that error

Given @zenzedoon confirmed this was fixed for them on Terraform 1.13, I'm going to close the issue. If anyone reports this happening with Terraform 1.13 I'll reopen it.
