A huge one!

  • Major audit and fixes to the IIGS core. Arkanoid and others now work well.
  • Brand new C64 cores! They're Ultimate64 compatible! 64MHz and full UCI compatibility (I hope!)

Multitini M0.6.5

@hasseily hasseily released this 21 Oct 16:04

M0.6.5 mainly improves Apple IIgs floppy performance and reliability. It retains M0.6.3’s joystick fixes and adds:

  • Less unnecessary CPU slowdown: acceleration can resume while a floppy remains mounted or spinning, once timing-sensitive disk work finishes.
  • Reliable eject and restart: fixes flush failures caused by unrelated HDD traffic, lost pending requests, and incomplete PRAM saves.
  • Optional Fast floppy mode: Options → Floppy speed → Fast accelerates floppy timing by up to 4×, with ZipGS at 14 MHz or higher. Normal remains the default; changing modes saves media and restarts the IIgs. The roughly 4× transfer result is from simulation.
  • CPU/storage overlap: in Fast mode, independent CPU work can continue during track loads and write flushes.
  • Other GS reliability fixes.
