Relay — a native macOS client for Facebook Messenger. Messenger left the Mac; this brings it back.

Install

  1. Download Relay.dmg below → drag Relay.app to Applications.
  2. Approve it once (free open-source app, not Apple-notarized):
    • macOS 15 / 26 — open it, click Done, then System Settings → Privacy & Security → "Open Anyway".
    • macOS 13 / 14 — right-click Relay.app → Open → Open.
  3. Sign into Facebook (password / 2FA / checkpoints all work).

  • Liquid Glass on macOS 26 (frosted-material look on older systems)
  • Messaging, reactions, replies, edit/unsend, multi-image, voice notes, emoji + GIFs
  • Scheduled send, snooze, saved messages, per-chat colors / wallpapers / nicknames
  • On-device translation · in-chat + global search · menu-bar companion · Touch ID lock
  • In-app updates (Settings → Download the Latest Version)

⚠️ Unofficial client. Logs into your real Facebook account via reverse-engineered protocols — your account could be rate-limited. Your session stays only in your macOS Keychain. Not affiliated with Meta.
