Relay v1.0.4
Know when an update's out, and an app that cleans up after itself.
Install
Download Relay.dmg, drag Relay into Applications, then approve it once (free open-source app, not Apple-notarized):
- macOS 15 / 26 — open it, click Done, then System Settings → Privacy & Security → Open Anyway
- macOS 13 / 14 — right-click Relay.app → Open → Open
Already on Relay? Just hit Settings → Download the Latest Version — and from now on you'll see an Update badge in the app whenever there's a new one.
In this release
- "Update available" badge. Relay quietly checks for new versions and shows an Update badge in the sidebar (and in Settings) when one's out — so you never have to come check GitHub. Installing is still one click, on your terms; nothing updates on its own.
- Cleans up after itself. Leftover temp files, old update downloads, and stale backups are tidied automatically, so updates and caches never pile up and fill your storage.
- Durable photos & GIFs. Attachments you send are now stored permanently instead of in a temp folder the system clears, so they don't risk disappearing from older chats.
⚠️ Relay is an unofficial client for your real Facebook account using reverse-engineered protocols. Meta doesn't permit third-party clients — your account could be rate-limited or banned. Your session stays in your macOS Keychain and is sent only to Meta. Use at your own risk. Not affiliated with Meta.
